Bought this for my son for Christmas and he has not taken it off since he received it. Thank you.
Athena's Disciple Reiki-Charged Jewelry
Jewelry is a personal statement. The jewelry in Athena's Disciple says that you love the cool, clean look of sterling silver contrasted with the rainbow of colors provided by natural stones, hand-crafted lampwork items, and polymer clay items. I think the materials I use speak for themselves, so I keep my designs simple.
REIKI: All items in the shop are Reiki charged. Reiki is a universal healing energy that will work on physical, mental/emotional and spiritual needs. It gives the jewelry a good feel.
CUSTOM ORDERS:: I am very open to custom orders, with over 200 varieties of gemstones available in my personal stock, as well as the flexibility of polymer clay and sterling silver clay. I work primarily with Sterling Silver, though I have dabbled with other metals, including Copper and White Gold. Techniques used/available include wire-wrapping, metal-smithing, sterling silver clay (PMC), wax casting, and polymer clay.
HISTORY OF THE SHOP: I started making jewelry in 2007 because I wanted to wear jewelry that matched my own personal statement. I started selling on Etsy soon after and had some sales and satisfied customers up until 2012, when I took a break due to the stresses and busyness of planning my wedding! Now, in 2014, I have opened the shop back up and am continuing my journey with a jewelry class in wax casting. I used to also sell jewelry supplies at http://dragonhoard.etsy.com, but I've decided to just focus on my jewelry this time around, so that store will not be re-opening.
EDUCATION: I'm mostly self taught, but I have taken a couple of classes at the Wayne Art Center, including Adult Metal Jewelry (2011), PMC Metal Clay Workshop (2014), and Jewelry-Lost Wax Casting and Beyond (2014). I also took a class in Pottery, Lampwork Glass Beads and in Drawing, which I enjoyed, but have decided to stay focused on jewelry.
ABOUT ME: As for a little bit about me, I work full-time in corporate IT as a Project Manager/Business Analyst. In my free time, I work on my jewelry, but I also play video games, read a lot of romance and sci-fi/fantasy fiction, watch sci-fi movies & shows, improve my Mandarin Chinese, read business books, and stay fit with yoga, running, weights and a low-carb keto diet.
Owner, Creator, Everything Else
I am the only member of this shop, registered as a Self-Representing Artist Jewelry Designer on SRAJD.com, member 2040, as an artist that designs, creates and sells my own jewelry. I am also Reiki II certified.
All photographs belong to the artist and cannot be copied without permission. However, if you are going to feature a product of mine in a blog, etc, please feel free to grab the photo and use it, unedited, and just let me know that you have done so. Thanks!
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
- Money Order
- Other Method
I have to charge you 6% sales tax that will be automatically calculated by paypal based on your billing address, so please do not be surprised when you see that additional charge.
Holiday United States Shipping - USPS estimates that orders shipped by 12/20 should arrive by Christmas. Always give extra time to account for unexpected delays and remember that made to order items take extra time to be created before getting shipped out!
I will ship to the address listed on your Etsy account. Please make sure your address is up to date when you pay.
I try to ship the day after I receive your payment since I am at my day job while the post office is open. Some made-to-order items (such as necklaces) may take longer for me to get in the mail and those items would have been noted in the Shipping & Policies tab with something like "Ready to ship in 3-5 business days.".
United States orders:
Your item will be shipped with USPS First Class Mail with tracking and should arrive within 3-7 days anywhere within the United States. You will receive an email from Etsy with tracking details once I have shipped your item.
You can also upgrade to USPS Priority Mail (1-3 days) - the option is available at extra cost once you checkout.
Delivery time for USPS First Class Mail shipping outside of the United States varies and takes longer during the holiday season when customs in your country has a high volume of packages coming through. International customers are responsible for all fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping to their respective countries.
International customers can also upgrade to Priority mail. The price listed ($25) is based off a small flat rate box of up to 4lb. The estimate of 6-10days is based off of USPS' website for "many major markets". Your exact delivery time may vary, and I cannot give you a more specific estimate.
