About

Unique insect and anthropomorphic bead sculpture decor and jewelry

In 2011, I was encouraged by a friend to participate in a creativity project to make something every day for a year. I decided to make beaded spiders, having only recently made a handful of them for Halloween. After my daily spider blog (and some beaded dragonflies) caught the eye of an international craft book publisher, I was offered a book deal to write "Bead Bugs." A year later I was asked to write a children's guide to beading. And ever since then I've been experimenting with new bugs and new beaded creations, exhibiting artwork frequently at local galleries. I am excited to now offer my pieces for sale, everything from finished bugs and curious anthropomorphic critters to signed copies of my books and beaded bug kits. I also accept custom orders.

I'm a project manager during the day and an artist the rest of the time. I specialize in beadwork but also like assemblage, drawing, refinishing furniture, and sewing. I never stop creating.
