Announcement   Why should you shop at au clair de la lune?

1) Really beautiful, well crafted items for you, your kids, and your home.
2) Recycled fabrics means less wear and tear on the planet. Items that would otherwise be discarded find new lives (this would be the reuse and recycle part :-) Cutting back on new fabric consumption means less water usage and less pesticide usage-- it takes many more resources to make new fabric than to use repurposed fabric (this would be the reduce part of the three RRRs :-)
3) Fair trade -- you know who made your purchase from beginning to end -- me! I have a lovely work environment in my home workshop here in Central Florida, and I treat myself very fairly!

Thank you for visiting au clair de la lune, and I hope that you are as inspired by the serendipity of second life fabric as I have been!

The past lives of clothes, or where everything old is new again!

..--^^^--..--^^^--..

Welcome to my etsy shop, where vintage clothing, thrift store finds, and fabric remnants are karmically washed, then transformed into unique clothing and accessories. Discarded fabric and buttons take on second lives and hopefully enhance your quality of life directly by providing you or your child well-made handcrafted items that are creative and distinctive, while also indirectly improving everyone's world a little bit by repurposing what might otherwise be wasted and reducing the need to produce more. Imagine all the resources that are used to create new fabrics and clothing! Even seemingly "old" ideas such as thrift and conservation -- would your great grandmother have ever discarded clothing after one season? -- become new again as we all look for ways to reduce and reuse.

Thank you for visiting au clair de la lune , and I hope that you are as inspired by the serendipity of second life fabric as I have been!

If you happen to be in sunny Central Florida, my work can be found in this brick and mortar store:

Etoile Boutique
2424 1/2 E. Robinson Street, Orlando, FL

Accepted payment methods

Payment
At the moment I only accept paypal. It's quick and easy, and it allows you, the customer, to choose your payment method. What could be better?
Shipping
USPS, unless other arrangements are made between us! If I have over-charged more than $1 US, I will refund the difference via paypal. Contact me about international shipping. I'm willing to ship anywhere, but I need to research it a bit first, depending on your location.

I use recycled materials for packaging whenever possible.
Refunds and Exchanges
First and foremost, I want you to be happy with your purchase and I will make every effort to that end.

Please read descriptions and check sizing before purchase and convo me with any questions you might have. Let's check and make sure your stuff will fit in the bag, your child will fit in the blouse (with room to grow :-) -- I frequently have sizes lurking about that haven't yet been posted, so we can probably find a different size all ready to go!

In the unfortunate event that you wish to return an item, please contact me within three days of receipt of item and we will arrange for its return. A refund will only be issued once the item is returned to me, in new and undamaged condition.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love working with shops! Please contact me about wholesale and consignment possibilities! Thanks,
Adrienne
