I asked for a custom order and she replied immediately and I received my order within a very short time and it is beautiful. This was my first experience on Etsy and I am sure that I will come back

Audrey Laine and her husband Jesse Sawyer of Sawyer Woodwork
Handcrafted metal jewelry in Crabtree, NC
I am drawn towards the contrast between geometric forms and intricate details of nature: the facets on a stone, the antennae of a moth. The things I make are an attempt to capture in wearable art the pleasure of scouring the riverbed for a perfectly tumbled stone, of finding another carpenter bee to add to a collection.
I am primarily a metalsmith, working with sterling silver, copper, and brass and playing with combinations of metal and wood, embroidery thread, fabric, leather, and found objects. My work features delicate silhouettes pierced on the face of hand fabricated hollow forms. My jewelry also incorporate lost wax castings of my own carvings and of found objects like bugs or bird bones.

Shop policies
I hand cut all of the silhouettes and piercings and hand fabricate all hollow forms. I currently contract out the casting process for some of my designs. I hand fabricate my clasps and earners and some of my chain. I am very flexible with custom requests, so if you want different chain lengths, custom finishing, different earwires, or special imagery, please ask me as I can usually accommodate any request. Custom wedding bands and bridal jewelry require a minimum 2 month lead time.

Additional policies and FAQs
Many of my customers enjoy the natural patination of the metal. To clean I use an old toothbrush and either toothpaste for silver or household vinegar for brass and bronze, using extra caution around the openings on shadowboxes, findings, and other delicate parts including gemstones.
If you prefer to use traditional cleaning products, BrassO or equivalent brass cleaner could also be used on brass and bronze, silver cleaner on sterling and fine silver.
****Avoid getting wood, fiber, or leather components wet or coming into contact with cleaning products or lacquers. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions about the care of your Audrey Laine jewelry****
