Announcement   ★★★ 100% of the profits from EVERY item in this shop go to The Gateway for Cancer Research, where 99 cents of every dollar received funds groundbreaking research. As of 8/31/16, this shop has has raised $2210.00 (& donated $2010.00 so far). THANK YOU! ★★★

Our Aunt MaryJo lived bravely and graciously with cancer for more than two years. During that time, she worked, juggled chemo, medical tests and doctor's appointments and made beaded bracelets to support cancer research. It was her fervent hope that others might be spared her fate. Aunt Mary never lost her sense of humor or optimism but she did lose her battle with cancer in December 2006. I chose to honor her memory and those of others close to me who have never given up fighting, by continuing to make and sell cancer awareness jewelry and donating the profits with the hopes that one day soon, no other person will have to suffer the way she did.
** Please buy one for someone you love. **

Absolutely beautiful work! Providing hope through beautiful bracelets. Even better that proceeds are donated to cancer research. Thank you!

This piece is very gorgeous. The beads are smaller than I thought but I'm glad they are otherwise it would not fit on my wrist. This fit is good. Could be a smidge smaller but designs are hard to accommodate I'm sure.

About

Jewelry made to fight cancer fiercely, inspired by love.

This shop was started as a community service project in 2007 by my brother in law when he was an undergrad. He was inspired by the strength and character of the amazingly loving, charitable woman who was his aunt Mary Jo . She was defeated after a long fight with cancer.

My brother in law made many bracelets and I photographed them, described , sold and shipped them to people who wanted to help. We donated the profits to Relay for Life.
After about a year, he passed the shop on to me, and I have been slowly improving the products, expanding the designs, and donating to ever better charities dedicated to cancer research.

Currently, I donate 100% of profits to The Gateway for Cancer Research, who spend 99 cents of every dollar donated on the research itself!

Now, I also dedicate this shop to my mother's college roommate, and my mentor, Katrina Morosoff Stout. (artist, teacher, mother, strong-willed and opinionated wonder of the natural world.)

Just a girl touched on both shoulders by cancer. I want to make a difference, so I donate all the profit from this shop to the Gateway for Cancer Research with hope that their radical research will find a way out of this predicament called cancer.

100% of the profit from each sale here is donated to the American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org/) and/or the Gateway for Cancer Research- in memory of our incredible aunt Mary Jo Zukoski and in memory of my mentor, boss and longtime family friend, Katrina Morosoff Stout, who both valiantly endured the horrors of their own cancer, as well as for all the countless others touched by the mysteries and tragedies of cancer.

Many of the beads that these bracelets have been made with were donated by caring Etsy members, who wanted to share the hope.

This shop raised and donated $160.00 in 2008, $250.00 in 2009,
