My creative journey as Autumn Aurelia was born out of loss, love, and years of battling both mental and chronic illness.

Hello! I'm Autumn and I make quirky acrylic jewellery. My brand was founded after an almost 10-year period of mental illness, which left me housebound and unable to work. As I began my recovery journey, I developed a passion for creating illustrations. Adding to this my love of colourful jewellery, I knew I wanted to turn my illustrations into wearable pieces of art. I love exploring many themes, but I'm especially drawn to anything magical, whimsical, and celestial.

I'm a very open person and I am extremely passionate about smashing stigmas, so you'll find I talk quite a lot about my own journey with mental and physical chronic illness, both of which continue to affect me on a daily basis.

Since starting my business two years ago, I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my mental well-being. I am generally much happier and healthier when creating, and it has given me a sense of purpose and direction in life. However, while my mental health has improved, my physical health has declined. I struggle with chronic fatigue, endometriosis, and fibromyalgia, meaning I'm often bedbound for days because I'm too exhausted to move.

I live for the good days, though, when I’m awake and full of energy. I now greet each new day with excitement and joy to design and create these pieces. I hope this is evident from the magical, whimsical, wearable art I make and share with you.

With my business, it is my mission to encourage others to follow their dreams and keep going, no matter what they face.
