5 out of 5 starsI'm getting married by a river so I really wanted to incorporate that into my gift. When I found these river rock necklaces I knew they would be perfect. Just received the shipment and am super happy with them! I can't wait to give them to my ladies. I'm sure they'll love them too :)

About AuthenticStone

A beach near here in Wisconsin. The stones of every place have their own character.

My Hoople feet on the stones I came from in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania.

Back in the workshop with some green tea.

Using the Channellock pliers my dad gave me. (He worked there 37 years. I worked there 3 months.)

Pisky's spirit is still hopping around. Drawn by hand on every box.
Nature, Art, Meaning, Memories: My natural stone jewelry has it's beginnings in stream-beds and in a little girl let to run loose in the forest.
Remember those childhood days spent on the beach, when you returned home with your pockets full of pebbles, shells and sand? That sense of wonder you got when you found that perfect, dew-spangled spiderweb?
That's why I make this natural stone jewelry, in honor of all of these wonder-moments that bring us closer to a meaningful life! (Quite honestly, in honor of all of my own wonder-moments that have made it so awesome to be alive!)
Some of the stones in my natural jewelry are ones I've gathered myself, some I've been given, some I've bought. (The more colorful stones come from a very nice artisan who lives in Idaho, she gathers them herself on the shores of Spirit Lake.)
All of my stones are natural, not colored or shaped or smoothed or treated. Some I drill, some come pre-drilled. I use a diamond-tipped hollow coring bit and a dremel to drill the holes. (Under some water to keep the bit from overheating and to help the drilling go faster.)
I could go on and on, but I won't. You can check out my facebook fan page, blog and my shop website if you want to learn more and be one of my super, awesome, mega-friends!

Pisky, d. 2010
Personal Assistant
Pisky was my constant beading companion, house bunny and good friend of 7 laff-filled years. I would work sitting on the floor by the coffee-table and she would sit by me, play with my pliers, beg for attention and eat my peanut-butter toast.
Shop policies
If you have any questions or special requests, please feel free to contact me http://www.etsy.com/convo_new.php?to_username=jennyhoople before placing your order.
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
All of my natural jewelry is also guaranteed against breakage for ANY reason whatsoever for one full year from the date of purchase! If you're willing to pay to ship it back, then I'll be more than happy to fix it right up for you and send it back or to give you in-store credit for the purchase price.
Payment
All Wisconsin residents will be charged 5.5% sales tax at checkout.
This is the formula I use for pricing:
((Materials + Labor) + 10% for Overhead + 10-20% for Profit) x 2 = Retail Price
I charge $25/hr for my billable hours (time spent actually making the work, not all the time I spend marketing/shipping/photographing/etc.)
Shipping
Your natural jewelry purchase will arrive packaged in a recycled-content, cotton-lined jewelry box that's attractively gift wrapped with tissue paper and tied with Raffia ribbon.
There is NO CHARGE FOR SHIPPING within the US and to Canada. I ship everything via USPS First Class Mail (3-5 days).
Expedited and international shipping are available! The discounted prices for international shipping can be seen at the bottom of each item listing.
For expedited shipping, drop me a line! http://www.etsy.com/convo_new.php?to_username=jennyhoople
Priority mail (2-3 days) costs about $4 more, but won't get your package to you much faster than regular mail. (which is 3-5 days)
Express mail (1-2 days) generally costs about $18 more.
