    About This Shop

    Avant Dante is a creative playground of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gifts with a punch of pop culture. Avant Dante encompasses everything from girl power prints, to your favorite old TV shows and movie characters reimagined as artwork. I have a true love of up-cycling found objects and making products that are functional, feminine and truly feminist.

    Michelle Dante is the Los Angeles based artist behind the Avant Dante brand. Her work is rooted in a love of pop culture nostalgia, and a passion for women’s empowerment. She began creating fan art and unique gifts for her friends and eventually those ideas blossomed into her successful Etsy shop in 2013.

    Her work has been featured by outlets such as The Huffington Post, ZO Magazine, and Voyage LA, and her art can be found locally in Los Angeles at Mindfulnest and Ten Women Gallery in Santa Monica.
