I LOVE LOVE LOVE my custom Oscar the cat planter. Working with Ave was a lot of fun, seeing my cat's features come to life with her skills. Thanks so much for taking on this custom project!!!

About

I love to make things happy things

I believe people's homes should be filled with objects that bring joy to daily routines and special moments. My pottery is perfect for the whimsical dinner party host, the quirky introvert who enjoys a cup of tea with a splash of color, or the entrepreneur who wants to hold on to their childlike spirit.

I work with terra cotta clay because I enjoy the rich earthy tones it provides; although some work is made with a white earthenware. Most pots are made by rolling out slabs and forming them into various shapes, much like fabric (darts and everything!). I gather inspiration for the illustrations I use from daily life, childhood, and pop culture.

I graduated in 2014 with a BS in Studio Art, Ceramics from Southern Connecticut State University. I then spent a year as a studio technician and a year at UMass Dartmouth for a Post Baccalaureate. I've exhibited across New England, making strides towards becoming a full time artist.

I am a Connecticut based artist. My fun-loving spirit is reflected in every piece I create, whether it be through the bright colors or the playful puns. In addition to making handbuilt pottery, I enjoy pugs, burritos, and watching Steven Universe.

Thank you for stopping by my shop! I make funky happy pottery for the artful home. Three things that describe my core values are: happiness, doing good, and community. I've made it my mission to bring a splash of happiness and fun to homes across the globe. I believe in spreading good to humans, animals and our planet. Community fills my heart, both locally and on the web. Pottery has become my passion, and I'm excited to see where clay takes me.

I work with terra cotta clay, which is a lower impact to the earth: lower firing temperature, less processing, found locally, and all around lower carbon foot-print than most clays. The method I use is called slab building. Instead of a pottery wheel, I use a rolling pin to flatten large sheets of clay from which I cut out the shapes I need to make the product I have in mind.

After the bisque and glaze firings, I fire the pots one last time with a product called luster, which is a 22K gold overglaze that adds an extra special touch, because handmade items deserve that extra somethin' somethin' before they're released into the world.

Shipping
Ready Made items ship within 1-3 business days via USPS priority shipping, which typically takes up to 3 business days. This includes a tracking number and insurance. In the instance where a parcel is uncollected and returned to me, I will refund the order minus the shipping cost, provided the items are in the original, undamaged condition. As the buyer, you are responsible for any customs tax that you may incur upon delivery to your country.

For international orders, tracking and insurance do NOT come as standard due to the high cost, but may be purchased separately. Please do not hesitate to message me for a quote, as rates vary based on weight, size, and destination of the parcel.

The prices listed for shipping include packing materials. I use 100% recycled cardboard boxes and bio degradable plastic bubble wrap, along with other recyclable filler. Any shipping overages will be refunded to the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
I accept returns for exchange or store credit within 7 days from receipt of goods. All product must be in original condition. Shipping charges are non-refundable and buyer is responsible for return shipping. Send me a message before returning. All sales are final on items that are made to order.

If the package was damaged during transit, please do not hesitate to message me. Accidents do happen and ceramics are breakable. I would be happy to work something out. If this is the case, you must contact me within 3 days from receipt of goods.
