The Origins of Aya Hand Fans

I've wanted to start a business for a few years now, but always became overwhelmed when trying to figure out how. On a recent trip to Accra, Ghana, I met Joe Kalala, a Ghanaian artisan. His fans were absolutely beautiful and he was very personable. I brought his fans back as gifts to friends and family. They were a hit! I realized this could be a great business and Aya Hand Fans was born. Aya is an adinkra symbol and means fern, which symbolizes endurance and resourcefulness.
