I’m Ayla Marika, and I specialise in hand-drawn illustration using ink, graphite, charcoal, as well as digital design. The illustration I produce is 100% hand-drawn using traditional mediums (eg pen on paper), which is then subjected to various degrees of digital manipulation. I consider good craftsmanship and classical technique essential to my art production and illustration.

As both an artist and art enthusiast I am concerned by the high cost of original artwork, which is beyond most ordinary people (including myself). Rather than create original one-off artworks affordable only to a few people who have the disposable income to spend on them, after lengthy consideration I decided instead to release my work as high-quality stock illustrations at prices most people can afford.

Releasing my visual art as stock illustration is my way of realising my personal vision and mission for making quality visual art more accessible and affordable to everyone.

With my stock illustrations I offer non-exclusive licensing terms, allowing people to use them for almost anything from hanging on a wall through to commercial purposes including album designs, web design and books.
