I'm Reena and I'm the person behind AyuriHandcrafted. I started making my essential oils and scent blended candles recently during my time on furlough over the lockdown. It initially started as a way to keep myself busy and also do something creative that I love. I'm a qualified ayurvedic practitioner and I wanted to make something unique and accessible with my knowledge of ayurveda, hence ayuri was born. The scents are designed to aid the restoration of ones self back into balance. Life can get very hectic, fast, tiring, busy and we can very easily come off balance. In ayurvedic terms, we become imbalanced and this is how illnesses can form leading to us to fall unwell. Using the age old wisdom of ayurveda and understanding doshas and the benefits of aromatherapy, I have designed these blends. Cooling, sweet and soothing blends for firey pitta, grounding and calming blends for vata and invigorating and energising blends for kapha. For example, I have designed INHALE ~ EXHALE specifically for those who have trouble sleeping, very common for exceess energy in vata individuals. Of course you can choose whichever scent you like as they are all perfectly suitable for us all however specific scents can be incredibly powerful to aid certain situations and needs. Maintaining dosha balance is extremely important as it allows us to take more control of our overall health and well-being. This can be anything from diet and digestion down to the time best suited for us to wake and sleep. There is a specific pattern and lifestyle that ayurveda reccommends we should incorporate into our daily lives in order to lead a long, healthy and illness free life. Each recommendation being unique to every individual based on their personal dosha type. I'm here to help spread this wisdom of ayurveda a little bit at a time starting with my lovingly made hand-poured scented candles.
