About

forever folding fabric designs

Hello, I am Hannah. I have always been drawn to the clean lines and precise folds of Origami but the fragile and temporary nature of traditional paper sent me on a quest to find a flexible material that would not tear or crumple. After much experimenting, in 2008 bY Mi was launched combining my background studying origami & architectural design and working with textiles. Initially making small items supplied to retailers across Europe, the endless possibilities of using textiles in place of paper has lead to bespoke commissions for commercial origami installations, wedding bouquets and print tutorials.

Currently I work from my home in Portobello, Edinburgh's seaside town. In between folding I love to walk on the beach with my family, sample the finest food and drink on offer and learn.

As featured in: Cosmopolitan Bride, Country Wedding Magazine, Craft Seller, Easy Origami, Gathered by Mollie Makes, LoveMyDress.net
