I make unique and comfortable hand knitted clothing with a focus on plant dyes and nature's colors: seamless wool sweaters, shawls for everyday and special occasions, and a line of clothespin bags and the pattern either paper or PDF (printable at your end on 11x17 paper) if you want to make your own. Some garments in acrylic for those allergic to wool or the hand-washing it requires.
All shawls and sweaters come in a pretty cloth storage bag to keep out dust and moths.

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful sweater! We initially purchased a sweater that turned out to be a little tight on our son. We asked to swap it for a larger one we saw on Francette's site but instead of just swapping it for one already made, Francette asked for our sons measurement and knitted him a brand new sweater that fitted perfectly (with a little extra room to grow). Communication was great and Francette kept us updated along the way. Was even accommodating of our tight time line as we were heading off on vacation. Thank you so much!! Great experience.

5 out of 5 starsThis shawl is luxurious- the pictures just don't do it justice. The acrylic is just as warm as wool and oh-SO-soft. the ruffled edge adds a touch of class. And the button is ingenious designed to be fastened so that the shawl can be worn a number of ways. Not just for keeping cozy in the house, this is a garment you will want to wear and show off!

I joined Etsy in 2008 and have been expanding my sweater and shawl lines ever since.
I live at the end of a long driveway off a dirt road in Vermont. Selling online is a great way for me to do business. I can work at home and not have to schlep my inventory to fairs or markets too often.
Though I love to work in the wool that features my plant-dyed yarn, I also make shawls and sweaters with the soft acrylic yarn now available, for those who are sensitive to wool and cannot wear it. Please let me know if you want something you see in my shop in a different fiber or size and I will do my best to accommodate you.
My sawtooth sweaters for children and adults came from designing a sweater for my husband, a carpenter, who also runs a sawmill on our property. I really like this clean sharp design mimicking the teeth of a saw blade, and changing the colors of this basic design gives each sweater a different character.
My shawls feature a double button to keep it closed so it won't slip off your shoulders. This little gizmo can be popped in and out along the shawl edge, so you can arrange the shawl how you like it. Right now I'm partial to ruffle-edged shawls; I love their frilly look, even in a very warm shawl, and the way they accent the shoulders and face of the wearer.
I also just started a line of clothespin holders/bags, using my very large stash of sturdy fabrics!
I am always open to custom orders.
