About

I like yarn!

Each bundle of fiber and skein of yarn is individually hand-dyed by me in my stained and spattered studio. Vibrant saturated colors are created using my own dye recipes of lightfast professional-grade acid dyes. The inherent nature of hand-dyed yarns provides a richness in tone and color blending not possible with industrial factory-dyed fibers.

I work with a wide variety of fibers and yarns from domestic USA farm-raised fleece, merino wools, cashmere, and silks and I specialize in self-striping sock yarns - they make stripes as you knit!

From my upstairs sweatshop of fabric mayhem (aka: sewing room), I sew a line of handmade project bags and totes constructed in linen/cotton blend prints and fine quilter's cotton to complement the vivid palette of my yarns and fiber.

When not dyeing, knitting, or sewing, you can typically find me at farms and fiber fairs ogling the many sheep and goats that continually grow the fantastic variety of wooly fluff I get to work with daily.
