Handmade fabric flowers + other delights for your home!

When I was seven, I drew stick figures and messages on construction paper and walked around my neighborhood, knocking on doors and selling drawings and delights to my neighbors.

What can I say? I have an artistic spirit.

After dabbling in different art mediums while getting my bachelor's degree in English, I realized how much I loved working with my hands and, subsequently, an overwhelming need to make beautiful things. When I graduated, I found a job which involved a LOT of spreadsheets. One winter, I began making bright fabric flowers to put around my home as a cheery addition to what seemed like a never-ending and bleak season.

I took a break from flower-making when I found out I was pregnant with twins who were born in April 2012, but once they were no longer newborns, I opened up shop here on Etsy and began selling in earnest.

My day to day life includes caring for and playing with my girls, spending time with my husband, dreaming up new flower ideas, cleaning, laundry, and flower-making.

The name Bagsy is inspired by my blue-eyed black lab and husky mix, Bagheera. Blue is my favorite color.

It is my belief that everyone should have decor they love in their homes and wedding flowers that will last forever. I sell cheery, handmade fabric flowers, hand crafted clay ornaments, and other small gifts. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

I only use quality materials and nothing goes out my door that I wouldn't be proud to have in my own home. I am a complete perfectionist, but wouldn't have it any other way; this shop is my heart and soul, and I am so proud to make these creations for people who will love them for a very long time.

I put a lot of love, time, and effort into creating every single flower--and for that reason, they're not priced the same as fresh flowers. I'm a one-woman operation with very young kids, and in order to maintain some semblance of sanity in my home, I plan very carefully what I will offer in my shop--great quality products with the most fair pricing structure I can.

The pricing for my flowers and other designs are not negotiable; please be respectful and aware that there's a lot of work involved behind the products I offer in my shop.

Payment
Payment in full is expected at the time of purchase; however, if you have a special circumstance, message me and I'll work with you. (Ex: for wedding bouquets, a deposit can be made in advance to reserve your bouquet, and the rest will be required when the bouquet is finished but before it is shipped.)

PayPal and credit cards are my only accepted form of payment at this time; items are not shipped until payment has cleared.

State and local taxes are charged for those who live in New Mexico.
Shipping
I generally use first class or standard shipping from USPS, but shipping upgrades are available if you contact me before purchase. Shipping costs include materials required to ship. International orders generally incur higher shipping costs and vary depending on the location to where your flowers or headbands are being shipped.

Please double check your address before completing your order! I'm not responsible for orders shipped to the wrong address and I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages after they have shipped. I don't purchase additional insurance for items unless requested and paid for by the buyer in advance, with the exception of large orders over $500.

I do my best to ensure that customs fees are not added to your package, but when they're shipped outside the US, there's no way I can guarantee this won't happen. If customs fees are added, the buyer is responsible for all duties, taxes, or fees. Bagsy Blue Co. is not responsible for international orders that are delayed or lost, and I do not offer refunds for lost, delayed, or damaged orders.

Most of my work is made to order, but if it's ready to ship, it will be noted in the item title. Ready to ship items generally ship within 3-5 business days of your purchase, while items that are made to order will ship anywhere from 4-6 weeks after purchase. Please let me know if there's a special event for which you need your flowers if it's before the 4-6 week shipping timeframe, but also be aware that if they're needed before a two week period, there will most likely be a rush fee depending on my queue.
Refunds and Exchanges
I like my products to be the highest quality possible and I strive to make all my customers 100% happy with their end product. But if, for whatever reason, you're not happy with your purchase and feel you can't leave me positive feedback for your flowers, ornaments or headband, PLEASE send me a message at ashley.gammill [!at] gmail.com.

That said, I do not offer refunds for products about which you've changed your mind; for that reason, I try to be as clear as possible about the size and quantities of products in each listing, so please read carefully before you buy! Because everything in my shop is handcrafted and I check (and re-check) to be sure every piece is up to par before they're packaged, all sales are final on all items. If you have questions about any listing, please send me a message beforehand to ensure you'll be happy with your purchase.

If you order flowers or products for a wedding or event and it is cancelled or postponed, your order is still final once payment is complete. I may be able to do some type of shop credit, but this might not be the case for all orders; please send me a message so we can hammer out details should you find yourself in this position.

I don't offer refunds for flowers that get frayed or damaged with normal wear and tear, but if they're damaged beyond repair upon receipt, please contact me IMMEDIATELY with pictures.

Rush order fees are payment for a service provided and are non-refundable. Taxes and duties incurred by international customers are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.

Refunds will not be issued for international orders which arrive beyond your expected timeline; that said, PLEASE note that my shop is based in the U.S., so your shipping time is IN ADDITION to the processing time listed on each listing. I do my best to get items to customers in time, but if you order something without acknowledging a reasonable timeline on my end with shipping, there's nothing I can do unless you contact me immediately upon purchase and ask for the order to be cancelled.
Additional policies and FAQs
Because each and every product is 100% hand crafted by me--and I'm human!--there will be some variation from the listing photos to the item which is shipped to you, though the size and color is pretty standard to each listing photograph. Please allow for slight color variation due to monitor and screen differences.

I am open to custom orders for almost any listing, unless the listing specifies that it's available in those colors only. Generally, it's best to send me a message before buying with a custom order request, but I can almost always fulfill most color requests on flowers.

For listings that include color choice: if you do not specify your preferences on colors and don't respond to further contact within 48 hours, I will choose colors for you.

Most of the year, I can accommodate rush orders on most of my made to order flowers, but in busy seasons--usually late spring through the end of summer--a rush order might not be possible. IF YOU NEED YOUR FLOWERS BEFORE A TWO WEEK TIME PERIOD, the cost for a rush order ranges on the arrangement size, but is generally anywhere between $20-$30 (or more for larger arrangements). PLEASE, please, please email me before purchase and I will do my best to accommodate you. Please remember that this is a very small business; I do my best to accommodate all buyers, but sometimes I am simply too busy to respond or help with every request or rush order.

Custom and personalized orders

I definitely do custom orders! I can do custom color ways and combinations, as well as custom sizes. Send me a message and we can work out details!

Care instructions

These flowers are pretty hardy, but if they get wrinkly, wet your fingers and lightly mold petals back into shape.

If the edges fray, you can either leave them for a shabby-chic look or trim them very carefully with scissors to leave a clean edge.

If petals are lying flat, I blow on the center of the flower and it "fluffs" the petals so they won't be flat. This often gets flowers looking their best because it won't cause fraying on petal edges due to handling.

Timeline

Flowers vary individually, but if your flowers are made to order (meaning they're not pre-made and ready to ship), they may take anywhere from 3-6 weeks, depending on the size of the order and how full my queue is.

Most orders won't take that long, but because I have a very young family and a busy home life, I try to be fair in the timelines listed.

If you'd like to order some custom flowers but that timeline doesn't work for you, I'm happy to do rush orders, but there is a rush fee; the fee will depend on the size of the order.

Shipping costs

The cost of shipping includes handling costs. That means materials used and time spent packaging orders as well as the actual cost to ship.

Sales/pricing

Sales are usually scheduled 1-2 times a year.

I price my flowers to make them worth the time I've spent and the effort in gathering materials, learning new techniques, and sending products that are the best I can possibly offer.

Occasionally, individual flowers will be priced above other products that come in groups; please read listings carefully to make sure you're going to receive the right amount of flowers. If a flower is priced higher, it takes longer to make or is made of pricier material.
