About Bagzplus
I made the Floss Buddy to save my floss spills. It held my floss, on a bobbin or not, it rolled up and folded for easy storage.
I have been sewing since I was eight years old. It was one of the things that brought my mother and I close as I was growing up and I cherished our Sunday afternoons sewing sessions.
In my work, I was a seamstress in a shirt factory, an alterations manager amongst other things. I continued to learn by doing, making my girls clothes, halloween costumes, etc.
You could call it an inate need, the way fabric feels, the entire creation process and my idea coming together under my very hands.I just love the whole creative process. I am not happy if I dont have a project,or 5, on the go.
Despite all of the sewing I do I have an abiding love for my cross stitching. I have been stitching now for about 33 years on and off. As I grow older I stitch at night for relaxation. I am a little bit of a fidget cross stitching also helps to settle and quite me.
I have brought my two loves together and tried to solve a few problems in my stitching life. That is how I invented the Floss Buddy. I grew tired of picking up bobbins off the floor like so many of us have to do . I wanted something that would lay in my lap as I stitched which held everything I needed. And I wanted it to be portable for train, car or bus travel.
Then I discovered the other upside of the Floss Buddy, as I was able to hide all my cross stitch stuff away in a small space so I could buy more.
The online cross stitch community is strong and inspiring and I find it a constant source of joy, fellowship, comradarie and I am amazed just how much the YouTube floss tubers streams make very real differences
to other lives.

I have gone out of my way to try and source the most novel and attractive fabrics that I can. Whether you want Alice in Wonderland, Beatrix Potter illustrations, Game of Thrones or even a picture of your own on your bag or floss buddy I can do that as well.
