Hello!

My name is Igor. I've been making leather goods since 2013. That started as a hobby and Balabanoff Leather Goods was established as a brand in 2015 in Ukraine.

Now I’m growing further, developing and expanding as a team of professional, awesome workers. Our brand goal is simple yet essential: to make beautiful and functional goods for any people in the World, using the best quality materials to bring joy and to bring pleasant emotions from using our products. We give the leather form and function.

Our logo is a saker falcon, a type of one of the largest and heaviest hunting falcon species. Found most commonly in Eastern Europe. In Ukrainian, its name is “balaban”, which is why those known for breeding and training these creatures were commonly called Balabanov.

All products are fully handmade in Ukraine and are not mass produced. In case you’d like to have something custom from us - please, don’t hesitate and contact me directly via our contact form.

What means name "Balabanoff" and your logo?

Balabanoff - it's a surname of creator of this brand and producer of products.

Surname, presumably, comes from the type of a big hunting falcon - the saker falcon (Falco cherrug). This species breeds from eastern Europe.
In Ukrainian name for this species of falcons sounds like "balaban". "off" - it is just ending that denotes (in Ukrainian) belonging to the genus.
Also it was a name for people who were engaged in breeding and training of these falcons.

That's why the logo is a bird.
