I am a veteran of the shooting sports and black talons are the most unique type of ammo I have ever seen so to get a piece like this was awesome! Great job Jason! Ranger t series will be the next purchase.

About

The Accidental Birth of an Etsy Store & A One Of A Kind Business Idea.

In early 2015, I began experimenting with something that was at the time, completely foreign to me - resins. It wasn't long before I was comfortable with my ability to make virtually anything with both epoxy and polyester resin, so I decided to try something out.

All my life, I have had a fascination with guns, ammo, etc. Nowadays, I may be looked at by some in a negative manner, simply because of this interest. However, I am not a hunter and to this day, I have never taken a single shot at another living creature - aside from a bird with a BB gun as a kid - and I felt absolutely horrible about it. I knew then, that I simply enjoyed shooting and the challenges it presented. If I could roll back the hands of time, I probably would have tried doing some competitive shooting.

Back to early 2015 and with the abundance of ammo I had from my own target/range shooting and reloading, I had an idea that started it all. Why not take my favorite rounds or bullets and encase them in whatever shaped mold I desired? That is quite literally how BallisicImpressions was born. My first piece was a .50BMG desktop paperweight and after a few short weeks, I had a decent amount of pieces made. This was great and all, but what was I going to do with them? It started as a hobby, but soon some friends and family saw what I was making and told me I was crazy to not sell them.

This is when I came across Etsy and as they, the rest is history! Now, I am creating a much broader variety of products, all based on what my customers have asked for or what I envision.

On top of this, I made a conscious decision to donate a portion of each sale to a few different 501(c)(3) military organizations. Part of me feels guilty for not serving my country. When the terrible events of 9/11 happened, I was prime military material. I was a 21 year old college athlete and in the best shape of my life. Had my parents not been so adamant about me not joining, I would probably be getting out of service right about now.

Regardless, I try to donate as much as I can and by selling these pieces, I am able to do so. It's not a Trump fortune, but it's the best I can do at the moment and at least I'm making an effort to help give back to those who gave so much of their lives.

Well, that's my story! :)

I've always enjoyed working with my hands, been fascinated by ballistics and secretly wish I was born Jason Bourne and not Jason Bell! In mid-2015, I started experimenting with resin and shortly after, this venture was born and continues to grow!

Thank you very much for your interest in Ballistic Impressions!

I have a passion for creating one-of-a-kind ballistic art pieces and as a one man shop, I take tremendous pride in each and every piece I create! This is why each order is made to order, so I can tailor each item to the customer's needs. Since everything is 100% handmade by just myself, I am able to create each piece to the strict standards that I set for items I sell. Just remember, when it comes to art work like this, quality takes time.

I'm also constantly evolving the products I create and working with individuals and companies alike on various ballistic art projects. If you have an idea for a custom project, those are what I really enjoy creating! Helping someone turn a vision into a reality is extremely rewarding! No idea is a bad one in my opinion. Shoot me a message and if the project is feasible, I will work with you to bring the idea to life!

Cheers!

Payment
Currently, I accept payments made via PayPal. Since all of a my work is custom, made to order, all payments must be made in full before I begin a project. In some circumstances, I have accepted personal checks, but the check must clear before I will begin working on your project.

Additionally, since each of my creations are custom and made to order, once an order is placed, I do not allow cancellations or returns. Please be 100% sure about your order before you place it!

For most resin related pieces/projects, it generally takes approximately 1-2 weeks (per ordered item) to deliver on the project. Again, since I am a one man shop and do everything by hand, there are times when I get bombarded with orders and in those instances (Christmas), it can take 4-6 weeks.

If you do have a deadline for a project, please get in touch with me before you order. I can give you a deadline on when I could have your item(s) shipped. If your order is already placed and you then tell me you need your order by a particular date, I cannot guarantee delivery by that deadline. However, I will ALWAYS work with you to do all I can to get it to you in time.
Shipping
I ship all packages via USPS First Class mail, unless otherwise noted. For custom projects, I generally ship with USPS Priority Mail, but please check with me to ensure this is the case. I can add shipping insurance to your order, but you must contact me about the additional charges so I can add it to your purchase amount. If the item(s) have been shipped via USPS Priority Mail, this includes $50 of insurance coverage.

I will provide a USPS tracking number with every order to ensure both you and I can track the shipment at any time. As a further peace of mind, I do ensure my correct return address is on the package, just in case there is an issue with delivery.

Please keep in mind that once the package is out of my hands and with the carrier, I can no longer be held responsible for it. If a package is somehow lost with the carrier, then it is the buyers responsibility to file a claim with the carrier. If it is determined that there was a problem with the way the item(s) were packaged, then I will make and send you a replacement for the item or offer you store credit. However, I cannot refund your money as 15% - 20% is automatically deducted and sent to one of the charity organizations I contribute to. The other funds go straight into purchasing more materials to keep this venture afloat.

For International Shipping (Worldwide):

YOU MUST KNOW YOUR COUNTRY'S IMPORTATION LAWS!! If your item is refused, confiscated or opened and damaged by your country's customs officials, I cannot refund your order. You must know your laws, because I do not them and cannot be held responsible for them.

All international packages will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail International, unless you would like to pay for the much more expensive options. Keep in mind that USPS Priority Mail International is about 3 times as expensive. However, if this is the option you would like, I am more than happy to ship via this method at the buyers expense.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
Refunds and Exchanges
Since all my work is custom and made to order, once an order is placed, I cannot allow cancellations or returns. Please be sure about your order before you place it.

If your item is lost during shipping, and tracking info has been uploaded that shows I have shipped your item, you WILL NOT receive a refund due to losses beyond my control. In this case, it would be your responsibility to file a claim with the carrier.

If there is damage to the piece(s) I ship to you that are not caused by USPS, I will send you a new piece(s) to replace the damaged or broken one(s) or allow for store credit of equal value if I no longer have the materials to make the piece(s) you ordered. In this case, I ask that you please send me pictures of how the package arrived and the condition of the contents.

Fortunately for everyone, resin is a very tough material and this should never be an issue.
Additional policies and FAQs
I pride myself in providing excellent customer service. If you were satisfied with my service and/or products, I humbly ask that you take a minute to provide whatever feedback you think is appropriate.

I'm doing all I can to try and sustain Ballistic Impressions, so every bit helps me accomplish that - which in turn allows me to continue donating proceeds to non-profit 501(c)(3) Military/Law Enforcement organizations.

I truly appreciate your business and hope to have you as a repeat client.

***Although each lead bullet (that isn't encased in resin) has been covered in 2 layers of clear coat, it may still be possible for the clear coat to wear off with heavy use and there is always the risk of exposure to lead. Please keep this in mind when ordering and wearing.***
