About BaltimoreBombshell

Sales 64
On Etsy since 2014

I need more closet space.

Baltimore Bombshell is a shop that specializes in women's vintage clothing, hats, and shoes, especially from the 1920s to the 1950s. It is located in an old industrial loft apartment in the Inner-Harbor of Baltimore, Maryland.

The clothes, hats, shoes, and apartment belong to me, Jaye.

I have always gravitated towards "old things" as long as I can remember. I wish I could say I wore vintage with pride throughout my youth, but the truth is I was worried about fitting in and not sticking out. So, it was a secret obsession --- that is until my mid-twenties when I started to actually WEAR some of my vintage pieces.

Sure, it's still sometimes uncomfortable with the stares and comments. But thanks to the encouragement of the vintage community --- and Etsy's sweet, delicious enablement --- I have found more and more the ability to be "authentic to my soul" (thanks Jessica C. Of Chronically Vintage for that phrase) and make beautiful old clothing a part of my modern life.

And with that has come the urge to do the same for others who feel at home in vintage dresses and antique hats.

So, with the help and support of a pack of dear vintage-loving friends, I opened Baltimore Bombshell in January 2014.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for stopping by.
And I kinda want to give you a big hug right now.
But there's a screen in the way.

Hello all! Thank you so much for stopping by! I have been obsessed with vintage clothing and accessories ever since I was a little girl, but I didn't actually purchase my first vintage item (a great 50s dress!) until my mid 20s on Etsy. Ever since then, I've become a bit of a hoarder... And sadly my closet (and storage unit) are bursting at the seams. As much as I hate to part with anything.. I hate seeing them not being worn and being celebrated the way they deserve to. So if you are looking for a fabulous 40s dress to love, or a pair of 30s shoes to make you swoon, look no further- I will be updating my shop as much as I can!

Returns and exchanges
I will do my absolute best to accurately describe each item. Please note that vintage pieces have been well loved, so flaws may be present. Please check your measurements against the ones I provide, as vintage items do not follow same sizing as modern day pieces. If you feel I did not accurately describe the item, or give correct measurements, please contact me and let me know IMMEDIATELY after receiving the item. Returns/refunds will be not be given unless there was a gross mistake on my end, so please check your measurements and ask any questions you have- I will be GLAD to take more photos for you or provide you any more information!
If you would like to reserve an item for you, I do reserve items for up to 14 days. I can also place items on layaway for more than $50. Please contact me before checking out to coordinate layaway/reserve. Thank you!
I use USPS Priority mail for all items. After payment is received, I will try to mail out your item within 24 hours. If it will take any longer, I will be sure to let you know-promise! All items I ship out are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper placed inside acid-free archival plastic, to ensure that absolute minimal damage would happen while in transit. Please let me know if you plan on purchasing more than one, and I will happily combine shipping costs. If you need an item quicker, let me know and I will let you know how quickly I can get it to you. I will try to provide a tracking number for each parcel. I will do my best to ship internationally- but please check your countries customs regulations to make sure items can be shipped to you (some things like snake skin can't, for example).
Additional policies and FAQs
I really am very passionate about my clothing- I wear vintage pieces on a regular basis and try to only purchase/sell items that I know have a lot of life in them, that have minimal damage, and have no weird smells/stains. Vintage clothes are so much more fun when you can actually wear them! I do have pets in my home, but they are kept away from my clothing. If you have ANY questions at all, please ask, I will be glad to answer them or find you the answer! Thank you so much for stopping by!
