Thank you for shopping at Frumious Bandersnatch Desings.
My designs are inspired from things found naturally in nature, as well as a desire to create a better future for our planet. Many of the materials I use have a low impact on the environment, are either recycled, vegan, organic, or 100% natural, made in sweat-shop free settings. Each item is designed and handmade by me.

Accepted payment methods

I accept PayPal only. I do not accept personal checks, as those have a tendency to bounce, or cash.
If you need an item to be sized differently, please contact me BEFORE you place an order. Orders will not be refunded if you did not specify the correct size you need, and find the item that you purchased is too small or too big. I have provided you with the size of each of our item. If you need to cancel an order, please contact me and I will refund your money. Please state the reason why you need to cancel your order. If you waited too long, however, and I have already shipped your item, then a refund will not be given. Cancellation of an item must be given within 1 day of your purchase.

Payments for custom made items must be given RIGHT AWAY so that I am able to get materials.
If you need a shipping upgrade, please contact me BEFORE you place your order. I do offer priority shipping when needed. If you have any changes of shipping, you must contact me before you place your order. If you place an order before you tell me that you need faster shipping, I will have to send you a paypal invoice to make up for the cost of shipping. I don't send the item until that payment has been received along with the payment for whichever item was ordered.

I will not be held responsible for lost packages. I will however, offer a refund if you receive a damaged item. It is my sincerest belief that this will very rarely happen though. If you do receive an item that's damaged, please take a picture of it and send it to me via Etsy.

Please allow up to 5 weeks for me to make your item and ship it to you. Each piece is handmade, and depending on what was ordered, it may take some time. Especially if more than one item was ordered. I am also a college student and have a part time job besides this one.

International Shipping
International shipping rates start at $27.00, with no exceptions. If you need something shipped to you internationally, contact me BEFORE you place your order, and I will send you a paypal invoice to cover the cost of shipping.
Refunds and Exchanges
I only offer refunds if when you receive your item, you find that it is damaged. If you decide that you'd rather have a different item than the one you purchased, should it arrive damaged, then you may exchange it for an item in the same price range. If it is damaged, then you must send pictures of the damage so I can access whether or not it was due to shipping, or if it was intentional and happened after you received it. I ensure that my items are in perfect condition when shipped. If this is a concern to you, you're more than welcome to pay an additional charge for shipping insurance. I will not offer a refund or an exchange if you receive the item, and change your mind about wanting it. This is not fair to me, and I cannot offer exchanges on everything. Please be certain that the item you want is actually something that you WANT. I do not make exchanges or refunds on items if you request a size and then find that it is either too big or too small. It's your responsibility to make sure the item will fit you. Due to public health considerations, I am unable to accept returns or exchanges on my custom hat designs. This is to ensure all my customers that I adhere to the strictest sanitary guidelines, and that they will receive a hat that has never been previously worn by another customer.

I do not do exchanges or refunds on custom orders. Custom orders include changes in size, color, add-ons you've requested, or designs entirely for you.
Additional policies and FAQs
Should you have need to contact me, please do so through Etsy. DO NOT contact me through the email address listed on my paypal. I prefer to do all transactions and contact on Etsy.

If you need the size to be either bigger or smaller, please specify which size you need in your order. If you do not own a tape measure in your home to measure your neck, then you can take a piece of string and wrap it around your neck so that it's the correct size, and measure it with a ruler. Tell me BEFORE you place your order the size you need an item to be.

Each Frumious Bandersnatch Design is handmade, so the price reflects the time it takes to make each item, as well as the materials used.


1.) Your designs are AMAZING!! Do you ever sell your patterns?
Thank you for your interest in my designs, but unfortunately since I design each and every single one of my designs without outside assistance, I cannot sell the patterns or give them away.

2.) Can you make a hat for my infant or small child?
Unfortunately I no longer make hats for children and infants. I make hats specifically for teens and adults now.

3.) Can I offer you a trade for one of your hats?
I am always more than happy to do a trade, but it needs to be something along the same quality lines, and price. Not to sound snooty, but I tend to not make trades if it's something I can make myself.

4.) How long will an item take to ship to me?
It says in my policies that it may take up to 5 weeks. This is to allow time for me to gather materials should I need them, time to design the item, to make it, and time to allow for my work schedule. I do always try to get orders out as quickly as possible though. 5 Weeks is only if it's absolutely necessary. Chances are you'll get your item long before then.

5.) Do you offer returns or exchanges?
No I do not offer returns on any of my designs. This is because I do not have stock items. Each item is made to order, thus making each one a custom design. I cannot take a crocheted item back once it has been shipped due to sanitary reasons and potential allergies. Hygene is extremely important to me.

6.) Do you ship internationally?
Yes I do ship internationally. Be aware that your hat may take longer than 5 weeks to get to you if you need international shipping.
