About

Rule #1: Leave live, healthy trees standing where they are.

BANDY Woodworks is a local business that makes custom furniture, children's toys, and items for the home out of salvaged wood and specializes in natural, non-toxic finishes. Our shop is located at 7800 Susquehanna St in Pittsburgh, PA in a space that we share with several other like-minded woodworkers. If you would like to discuss a project, please stop by the shop, send a message to christopher @ bandywoodworks.com or visit our website (which is still under construction) bandywoodworks.com. In the long term, we hope to create a process through which urban trees of every size and shape can be milled into lumber and given another life instead of ending up as a pile of mulch. Please know that your business is helping to make that goal a reality.

Christopher Bandy, owner of BANDY Woodworks, has been working salvaged wood for 15 years. He lives with his family in Point Breeze and is very pleased to support Tree Pittsburgh and the regeneration of the urban forest.

All the wood in the shop is milled in-house or purchased from friends who have milled it themselves from salvaged trees. We make custom furniture, children's toys, and items for the home, some of which are available on our Etsy page.
