Hello and Warm Welcomes to YOU!
My name is Emily, and I guess I should first start off by telling you a little bit about the meaning behind the name: BanjoBaySoaps.
When I was 18, I was united by the cosmos with a dog, and I named him Banjo. He was a big dog, a beautiful dog, and was always by my side. Our favorite thing to do together was to go to the lake and go swimming. Banjo was one of the *greats* that gave me the best eight years of my life. It has been 3 years since he passed on, but I know he always by my side. I can feel him with me.
When i was a little girl, my grandparents owned a little home on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. This place, too, is where i enjoyed some of the most memorable times ever.
My dream in life, when Banjo was still with me, was to take him, buy that little house, and live on the Chesapeake Bay, where he could swim all day, and I could paint, play violin, fish off the pier and go crabbing. It never came to a reality, but it will always stay a vivid dream. That is how the name BanjoBay has come to life! It is such a happy feeling for me.

I started making soaps casually last year, and would give them away as gifts here and there. Recently, however, I have become "addicted" to it, if you will, and have come up with many unique designs and recipies. I spend ALOT more time in the kitchen now than I ever have in my life!! It is definitley something I have finally found that i truly enjoy doing, and I find myself thinking of recipies at all times of the day. It has become a passion and and a creative outlet I have come to care deeply about.
Each type of bar is made in batches of only 6 at a time to maintain fragrance and freshness. Everything is done by my hand, from the mixing to the melting to the molding down to the stamping and decorating. I want them to be both appealing to your eye as well as to your body!

This is why I try my absolute hardest to search, find, and use the most natural and even organic ingredients when possible to put into my soaps. This is very important to me, as I know it is to you as well.
I want the soap to clean your skin natures way, that is my goal at BanjoBay.

With each batch I will always list the ingredients that go into the bars. If you should ever have any concerns about an ingredient, it is my pleasure to go into more depth with you.

It is such a delgiht to be a part of this community, and I look foward to meeting people within it. So, enjoy, browse, contact me with any questions, i'm always around and will try to get back with you as quickly as possible!
Much peace and light to you all...
Emily
