About

Handmade in Arkansas

I began making simple jewelry and sewing at a young age. As a teenager, I learned to crochet, embroider, and make more intricate bead jewelry. Over the years I have become interested in metalworking, wire wrapping, and other techniques as well.
Crafting has always been a part of my life. My business is named after my two grandmothers-Barbara Ann and Lou Janette. These two women had the most influence over my crafting journey, teaching me to sew, crochet, and create things I could call my own. They taught me the joy that comes from saying "I made that." I hope I can honor them with the work I showcase here.

Payment
At this time, I only take PayPal. It's safer and easier for all involved! I will update if this changes in the future.
Shipping
I ship USPS in a small flat-rate box whenever possible. Flat-rate boxes include tracking and insurance. I will ship within two business days of PayPal payment being received. Also, I do offer international shipping, but please convo me for rates as they are all so different.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will give refunds minus shipping costs if for some reason you find the product unsatisfactory in quality or construction. I will not be responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping. I also make every effort to tell the customer the size and dimensions of all products, so I will not give refunds if something does not fit. Please convo me with specific questions before buying.

Care Instructions:
For jewelry items, I recommend only gentle cleaning with a dry cloth, or polishing with a jeweler's polishing cloth. Some metals have an anti-tarnish coating, but that can wear off over time so occasional polishing may be needed. I treat all of my items with Renaissance wax when possible. This helps the pieces keep their natural color and finish as well as any patinas or treatments I have added.

Please convo me with any other questions! Thanks for stopping by!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I will consider custom orders and personalization on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me with any questions.

Why use nickel silver?

When I first began learning metalworking, I used copper, brass and nickel silver as a cost-control method. All artists make mistakes, and mistakes made in precious metals are more expensive. As I continued to work with these metals, I came to enjoy them more than precious metals. The color of nickel silver is often a darker grey than sterling, which tends to show markings and patinas differently. It is also just as durable as sterling, but does not tarnish as easily if ever. The care of the items is simpler and I can offer them at a slightly more affordable price. There are sterling items in my shop from time to time, but I will always be very clear about what type of metal you are purchasing. Please contact me with any questions.
