Quality Handmade Tiedyes Created in the Pacific Northwest!

Starting in the depths of the Dagobah basement circa 2012, Barefoot Lazer Tie Dye has come a long way. Once confined to store bought tie-dye kits and used white t-shirts, I always knew the tie dye was destined for greater things. Often tie-dying into the late hours of the night while everyone else was asleep I, owner Josh Wojcik, upgraded to a tiny shed in the backyard of my new home down the street in 2013. With a space heater and a single small light, I persisted through the Bellingham, Washington winds and rain to pursue my passion for the art.

As winter temperatures set in one fateful day, I was finally forced to take the messy risk of moving inside. As I attempted to fold and tie a future tapestry, the fabric (and my fingers) were literally freezing solid faster than I could work. Using an extra-large tarp to cover the floor and taking semi-successful precautions to keep the walls dye-free, I set up in my own bedroom. This became Barefoot Lazer Tie Dye headquarters for most of the year, though the operations were often moved outside when Spring came in order to soak up the sun.

In 2014, another lease ended and I spent the summer traveling and tie dying when and where I could. I landed in California, where I studied with the Strebel brothers (and many others) and created tie dyes for San Francisco based Jammin on Haight.

In April of 2016, I moved to Eugene, Oregon, where I am currently creating new, one-of-a-kind works of art on a daily basis. I am excited to continue to learn and grow, expanding my own horizons while always finding new ways to bring more color into everyone’s lives.
