About

"I write to discover what I know."
-Flannery O'Connor

I love this quote because I have the same experience with making art.

My work is dreamy and imaginative. I paint intuitively, layering line, color, and I build on imagery that emerges as I paint. I approach most painting using inspiration from music, literature, graffiti, pop culture, japanese block prints, Jean Michael Basquiat, Pearl Jam, Halloween, nature, classic art, new art, and above all else, color.

While my process is to rely on my surroundings and everyday inspirations, the result of every painting is a reflection of my own subconscious. It's revealing. It's challenging. It's what I know.

I live in Burien, a few miles south of Seattle, with my husband, new baby boy, and North American Earless cat. We live in a tiny house with a big yard. While visual creativity is my gift, a green thumb is not. There's hope for a garden…next year.
