Tired of Disposable furniture

My second oldest boy had some health issues when he was 6. These issues kept him in a wheel chair for a few years. We needed to have beds and furniture in the home that could stand the test of time. We looked all over for things to fit our needs, and we never found any, and if we did they were cheap. I decided to build him and my other son new beds, with a few extras. This was the start of my awakening and desire to want to build again.

I have since built my granddaughters crib, my daughters dresser, tables for my home, and many items for my friends. It may not be the ornate furniture that is found at furniture stores but it is usable furniture. The furniture we make is all solid wood and some plywood, you will not find any better quality in a store.

We start with buying our material from a local saw mill and finish it ourselves. We cut, plane, shape, stain, everything on our own. We have full control of the product from start to finish.

What once was a hobby in my garage has blossomed into a full time job and in a free standing shop.

Since I was a kid I always wanted to build things, since my father was a carpenter, and this is one area that I wanted to be like him. When we started my wife and I had 4 kids, and since we have added 2 granddaughters, one of who is in my portrait.

If you havent relized, we are a family shop. Kevin is my 2nd oldest and seems to want to follow in his fathers footsteps. I would not be able to build as much if he was not here.
