About

Rebuilding my sanity, one item at a time!

Hello! I am Molly Jo.
I am a stay at home mom to 3 beautiful, smart, but exhausting little girls!
I started my shop as a way to gain back my sanity at the end of a long, loud, and messy day.
Creating things has always been my way of "relaxing" or "escaping" and has quickly become my sanity rebuilder and favorite hobby!

If you have a custom item you would like created, please contact me as I LOVE to create items unique to individual personalities and interests. If you have an idea, I can make it work!

I always wonder about the story of how people came up with their shop names, so here is mine:
When thinking of a name for my shop I enlisted the help of my creative siblings.
I wanted to incorporate a few things.
One was the nickname I grew up with, which is Ladobaze (which came from "Little Baby"... it's a long story.)
My brother suggested I narrow that down to Baze and one of my sisters suggest Basil instead and somehow that stuck. Little baby = basil. Whatever! 😁
I also wanted to include some alliteration. "Basil & Bows" was brought up and I thought it was perfect for a few reasons.
One reason is that my youngest sister was more like a daughter to me and she has always loved bows. The other obvious reason is that our house is run by bows! Er....girls! We have been blessed with 5 beautiful girls (two in heaven) and bows are a big part of our lives!
I also wanted to somehow include an homage to our sweet Delaney Mae. We lost our 4th daughter, Delaney, in November of 2016. She was stillborn. In our family, our girls are assigned colors when they are born. Delaney was assigned mint. So when creating my logo I made sure to make the bow a mint color.

So Basil & Bows means a lot to me, and I am so excited to start creating more and more items to share with you in my shop.

Thanks so much for visiting!
