About

Basil And Lola

One day while living in Rhode Island, I enrolled in a metalsmithing class at a nearby college. It was taught by a man named Utzy, who deserves mention because, had he not been such an amazing instructor, my obsession with lost wax casting may have only amounted to a fleeting interest.

Not so. Some nights when I'm carving a new piece I wish I didn't require sleep at all.

I never completed another course. I probably should have. ;) Instead I ventured off on my own, filling in the gaps of my jewelry making knowledge using books, trial and error, and the occasional youtube video.

I very much enjoy creating each piece and am so grateful to everyone who pops by my shop to see my work and to each one of my lovely customers. The most sincere thank you!! xE
