Used and Loved Worldwide - My Baskets, that is....

I use fibre rush in my garlic and onion baskets. Fibre rush was invented in the late 19th century to meet the needs of the wicker furniture industry - as an alternative to natural reed. One of my first mentors taught me to use this material for garlic baskets. I've woven many classic baskets from natural reed, but I found that my paper garlic baskets are in great demand. I designed matching onion baskets and they are the most useful thing I make. Not limited to onions - I use them for citrus fruit in the Winter and apples in the Fall. Tough, durable and easy to keep clean, this line of storage items has been developed over the 3 decades that I've been making baskets.

I sold a huge box full of onion baskets to a production company with BBC TV. Apparently, if you want to watch their current version of "Atlantis", my baskets are seen in scenes that depict street sellers and who knows...maybe hanging in the homes of ancient citizens of the lost world. As exciting as new incarnations of myth and legend from Western Civilization can be...I can't watch TV just to catch sight of my work, but would love to hear from anyone who could give me an episode number/date so I could see my baskets on screen without having to sit through the unknown.

Cancelling an order is understandable, but please notify me immediately as sometimes orders are filled and shipped within 24-48 hours.
Baskets are carefully packed in cardboard boxes with enough filler to avoid crushing. I usually use recycled paper or paper you can recycle. I re-use boxes and filler and even non-recyclables that I received in shipments - keep it moving whenever possible.

I ship the most economical method possible, unless you request an upgrade. I usually ship the lightest packages Priority Mail. Larger orders may be shipped Parcel Post. International shipments go the cheapest way possible and are subject to customs inspection.
