Handmade Soap

Announcement   Bath Body and Spirit started from an insatiable passion, making handmade soap that not only smells heavenly, but also leaves skin clean and moisturized. Utilizing the Cold Process method of creating homemade soap, or CP for short, I am able to control all ingredients put into my homemade soaps. This is old fashion homemade soap making with a modern twist – using only beneficial ingredients.

Many people do not realize the difference between homemade soap and mass produced soap. Soap that is mass-produced is not soap, but “detergent bars” or sometimes called “beauty bars”. These detergent bars are filled with harsh chemicals that strip the skin of natural oils. Glycerin, a natural occurring by-product of soap making, is a natural humectrant that draws moisture to the skin. When mass produced “soap” is made, the glycerin is manufactured out and put into higher-end products. Homemade soap retains all the natural glycerin.

Not all homemade soaps are beneficial. Not to confuse anyone, but homemade soaps are a big step-up from mass-produced soaps, however; it is possible to make an irritating homemade bar of soap. One of the major benefits of my homemade soap is that I formulate my own recipes, which gives me complete control over the ingredients. I do not use pre-made bases that are known as “Melt and Pour” OR Glycerin soaps. I formulate my homemade soaps to include oils at the correct percentages, to clean well, but not irritate. My formulations never include animal fats such as lard or tallow. All my soaps are 40% or more Olive Oil. Olive oil is naturally rich in vitamin E, a natural alpha-tocopherol.

Shipping:

I will only charge the actual shipping charge, no handling fee. I can ship Flat Rate USPS whenever possible.
