They were very willing to work with me and figure out the best shirts. Color fast, doesn't shrink - I had initially ordered too big and needed to size down!

A beautiful little outfit that arrived very quickly. My niece and her husband will love it for their new daughter! Thank you very much for the gift, too.

About

The joy is in the journey.....

We are a married couple, now with a little one at home. We’ve been creating and selling batik apparel as our full time occupation since 2005. Since then, we’ve set up our retail booth hundreds of times at Farmers Markets, Music Festivals and Arts and Crafts shows in areas all across the country. We are blessed to have met so many great people along the way and are still growing, loving and learning everyday through this little endeavor called Batik Creations. We feel incredibly grateful to be making our living this way and are forever humbled by the outpouring of love and support we have received over the years.

We love being a part of Etsy too. On Etsy there’s no heavy tent to pop, no shirts to pull out of a van, no rain or wind, and no kettle corn encrusted fingers coming ever so near our apparel. But best of all, we can reach a lot more customers online than we ever could at a street show. Thru our Etsy store, you can choose from our ready to ship items or you can tell us exactly what you want and we can create it for you. Ain’t that a hoot?

So from two veteran street vendors, thank you for supporting Etsy and thank you for choosing to wear and support the creation of handmade things. We hope we’ll get a chance to meet you at one of our Art Shows sometime soon, or maybe count you among our many friends from around the world.

Gratefully Yours,
Steve and Roselle

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Payment is due at check out. We gladly accept payment thru Pay Pal or via credit card through the Etsy system at checkout. You may also use any major credit card to pay through PayPal without having a PayPal account. If paying with an E-check, the check must clear before your item is shipped.
Shipping
READY TO SHIP items will be mailed out within 2 days of purchase, often they will go out the same day.

CUSTOM ORDERS have a current turn around time of 4-8 days until shipped, but we can often get your order out sooner. For guaranteed faster shipping, please consider purchasing one of our “ready to ship” listings or convo us prior to placing a custom order to find out if we can meet your deadline.

SHIPPING USA ~ We use USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Both come with complimentary delivery tracking and confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email with a USPS tracking number when your item ships. Once your package is shipped, it usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive depending on your distance from Ohio. Once USPS.com posts your tracking number as delivered, we have to assume that it was in fact delivered. Please be sure your package has a safe place to land. We will not replace lost or stolen items.

SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL ~ We ship to our international customers via USPS First Class unless otherwise requested. First Class shipments take an average estimated delivery of 7-10 business days. In some rare cases shipments can be delayed 2-4 weeks depending on customs holds for your country. Please be aware that your purchase may be subject to VAT, import duties, and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. We will not mark your item as a gift or otherwise falsify customs information. Customs are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. If you would like to purchase insurance and/or signature confirmation please let us know and we'll send you a new invoice.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
We value your business and will do everything we can to count you among our many satisfied customers. Refunds and exchanges are not a problem. To initiate a return or exchange, please send us an Etsy convo and give us a brief explanation of what happened and what you would like to do.

CONDITIONS OF RETURNS / EXCHANGES
We understand you cannot try anything on, so we gladly accept returns or exchanges if you ordered the wrong size. All we ask is that you cover the shipping charges and that the return arrives in the same new, unworn and unwashed condition you received it in. Please be sure you want to keep your new shirt before wearing it for more than a minute or so to check the fit. We ask that you try to initiate any returns within 7 days of receiving your purchase. If you’re purchasing a gift and need to wait a little longer, it’s ok as long as the shirt stays in good condition. Complete sizing information is available within each listing so please read it carefully prior to placing your order. Feel free to send us a convo if you are at all unsure about sizing, we are happy to help. When in doubt, we recommend you go one size up.

If there is anything you are not happy with for any reason whatsoever, please give us a chance to correct it before leaving a negative review. Your satisfaction with our apparel, with us and with our company is always our top priority.
Additional policies and FAQs
WHAT IS BATIK? Batik is the art of using wax to resist dye and create images in fabrics. Hot liquid wax is applied in the shape of the desired image and then allowed to harden. The fabric is then dyed. The waxed areas resist the dye from penetrating the fabric. The wax is then removed and the image is left in relief. Because the wax spreads out and fractures differently every time, unique patterns are created within each batik image. The art of Batik is the oldest known method of decorating cloth with samples found dating back over 2500 years.

WHOLESALE? Yes we do, we have a minimum order of 24 pieces per color but you can mix and match any style, size or image. We do not consign. Please contact us for or all the details.

SHRINKAGE? You will get very little to no shrinkage as we shrink everything in the batik process. Your new garment will arrive preshrunk, prewashed and ready to enjoy.

WASHING? With proper care, our colors will remain rich and vibrant for years to come. We recommend washing all our apparel in cold water with similar colors, then line or tumble dry.

COLORFAST? We triple rinse every garment to remove all excess dye. You will see very little to no color bleed off when washing.

ECO-FRIENDLY? We recycle and reuse everything we possibly can when creating our apparel to reduce our environmental impact, including our rinse water. Being eco conscience is an important part of our business model.
