They were very willing to work with me and figure out the best shirts. Color fast, doesn't shrink - I had initially ordered too big and needed to size down!

A beautiful little outfit that arrived very quickly. My niece and her husband will love it for their new daughter! Thank you very much for the gift, too.

About

The joy is in the journey.....

I have been creating and selling batik apparel as my full time occupation since 2005. Since then, I've set up my retail booth hundreds of times at Farmers Markets, Music Festivals and Arts and Crafts shows in areas all across the country. I feel very blessed to have met so many great people along the way and am still growing, loving and learning everyday through this little endeavor called Batik Creations. I am also very grateful to be making my living doing something I love and am forever humbled by the outpouring of love and support I have received over the years.

I love being a part of Etsy too. On Etsy there’s no heavy tent to pop, no shirts to pull out of a van, no rain or wind, and no kettle corn encrusted fingers coming ever so near the apparel. But best of all, I can reach a lot more customers online than I ever could at a street show.

So from one veteran street vendor, thank you for supporting Etsy and thank you for choosing to wear and support the creation of handmade things. I hope I’ll get a chance to meet you at an Art Show sometime soon, or maybe count you among my many friends from around the world.

Gratefully Yours,
Steve Sgambellone

Shipping
READY TO SHIP items will be mailed out within 2 days of purchase, often they will go out the same day.

SHIPPING USA ~ I use USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Both come with complimentary delivery tracking and confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email with a USPS tracking number when your item ships. Once your package is shipped, it usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive depending on your distance from Ohio. Once USPS.com posts your tracking number as delivered, I have to assume that it was in fact delivered. Please be sure your package has a safe place to land. I cannot replace lost or stolen items.

SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL ~ I ship to our international customers via USPS First Class unless otherwise requested. First Class shipments take an average estimated delivery of 7-10 business days. In some rare cases shipments can be delayed 2-4 weeks depending on customs holds for your country. Please be aware that your purchase may be subject to VAT, import duties, and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. I will not mark your item as a gift or otherwise falsify customs information. Customs are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. If you would like to purchase insurance and/or signature confirmation please let me know and I'll send you a new invoice.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
I value your business and will do everything I can to count you among our many satisfied customers. Refunds and exchanges are not a problem. To initiate a return or exchange, please send me an Etsy convo and give me a brief explanation of what happened and what you would like to do.

CONDITIONS OF RETURNS / EXCHANGES
I understand you cannot try anything on, so I gladly accept returns or exchanges if you ordered the wrong size. All I ask is that you cover the shipping charges and that the return arrives in the same new, unworn and unwashed condition you received it in. Please be sure you want to keep your new shirt before wearing it for more than a minute or so to check the fit. I ask that you try to initiate any returns within 14 days of receiving your purchase. If you’re purchasing a gift and need to wait a little longer, it’s ok as long as the shirt stays in good condition. No pet hair PLEASE! Complete sizing information is available within each listing so please read it carefully prior to placing your order. Feel free to send me a convo if you are at all unsure about sizing, we are happy to help. When in doubt, we recommend you go one size up.

If there is anything you are not happy with for any reason whatsoever, please give me a chance to correct it before leaving a negative review. Your satisfaction with me and with my little business is always my top priority.
Additional policies and FAQs
WHAT IS BATIK? Batik is the art of using wax to resist dye and create images in fabrics. Hot liquid wax is applied in the shape of the desired image and then allowed to harden. The fabric is then dyed. The waxed areas resist the dye from penetrating the fabric. The wax is then removed and the image is left in relief. Because the wax spreads out and fractures differently every time, unique patterns are created within each batik image. The art of Batik is the oldest known method of decorating cloth with samples found dating back over 2500 years.

WHOLESALE? Yes, I have a minimum order of 48 pieces per color but you can mix and match any style, size or image. We do not consign. Please contact us for or all the details.

SHRINKAGE? You will get very little to no shrinkage as we shrink everything in the batik process. Your new garment will arrive preshrunk, prewashed and ready to enjoy.

WASHING? With proper care, colors will remain rich and vibrant for years to come. I recommend washing all our apparel in cold water with similar colors, then line or tumble dry.

COLORFAST? Every garment is triple rinsed to remove all excess dye. You will see very little to no color bleed off when washing.

ECO-FRIENDLY? I recycle and reuse everything I possibly can when creating these batiks to reduce the environmental impact, including the rinse water. Being eco conscience is an important part of my business model.
