About

People often asked me how I started making these posters, and like many things, it was out of frustration. My background is actually in film studies - I'm self taught in photography and design - and my original dream was to write about movies in a blog or on a website. Turns out, that's the dream of a lot of people. There's a bit of an overabundance of movie-writing on the internet, so I found it difficult not only to find my voice, but to get it heard as well. Out of that frustration comes this shop.

Each poster reflects the way I think about and understand the things that I love. All the posters represent a movie or TV show that occupies some part of my brain; each one represents a work I think about often. You can look at these as simple references to movie and TV, and you wouldn't be wrong, but I hope you can see something deeper in them. I work hard to find the perfect items and present them in a way that I think will distills a movie or TV show down into something essential - like its theme or characters. On each listing of the minimalist posters, you'll find a quote that helped guide me through the process.

I hope these posters also pay respect to the people who make these amazing pieces of art happen - not just the directors and actors, but also the editors, cinematographers and producers. That's why I've written the credits out in clear, clean modern font that hopefully tells the story of how the movie was built.
