Announcement
Thank you to everyone who attended the Empty Bowl's Houston event supporting the Houston Food Bank. I'm already getting ready for next year!
Empty Bowls Houston is a grassroots effort led by artists and craftspeople across the country which aims to help support communities experiencing food insecurity. Empty Bowls Houston is implemented locally by Houston area ceramists and artists working in various media, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and the Houston Food Bank. #fighthunger

Owner, Chief Product Designer
I have been a maker for over 30 years, producing one of a kind hand made stoneware and porcelain ceramics. Currently I am working primarily with high-fire reduction glazes. I like the unique variations in surface created by the kiln's atmosphere.

Frequently asked questions
Wholesale availability
Yes, we love helping design and create custom dinnerware and gift ideas for your group or business. We have the ability to create specific shapes and stamp, or emboss them with your logo.
And, by working in larger volumes we increase the production efficiency and can pass on the savings to you on larger orders (typically 50 or more of the same item).
Please contact us to discuss your needs. daryl@darylmccracken.com.
Custom and personalized orders
We love creating custom orders. For example, I love this mug, but can you make it in your transparent dark green glaze? Absolutely!
I'd like a vase like one on your site but can you make it 18" tall? Absolutely!
Can you emboss a name on a mug (or jar or vase or anything really)?
Of course. We'd be happy to do so.
We can easily create any item under 20" diameter and under 36" in height.
PLEASE NOTE:
Custom orders typically take a minimum of 6 weeks.
Due to the nature of our firing processes and custom glazes, we do not offer glaze colors beyond what is displayed here in our shop.
If you see a piece in our shop but would like it in a different color you see on another piece in our shop we'd be happy to help.
Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
Yes! If you live in Houston, TX we can work with you to arrange local pickup in the Houston Heights (zip code 77008). Please contact us and we can waive the shipping costs for the item(s) of interest and then work with you directly on a pickup.
How do you package and ship your items to arrive quickly and safely?
We try to package every order and ship out on the next business day. If there is a delay we always notify customers immediately.
We use a double box method which we have found to be the safest way to ship while protecting your purchase. Because this involves more packaging materials we use 100% recyclable materials.
For shipping, USPS parcel select (ground) offers the best mix of price and speed. This option allows us to offer free shipping on many items while still ensuring a timely delivery (typically 2-8 days). If your need is more immediate, please contact us and we can discuss faster shipping options.
