I love my wallet from BCharmer! It's made of a super-unique fabric and is beautifully constructed. Thank you, Colleen!

I'm a repeat customer - I just love these wallets! Colleen was easy to talk with, and the end product is just what I wanted. I carry it with my driver's license, a debit card, and some money inside and it fits perfectly in my back pocket when I don't want to carry a purse.
This business was born out of my love for my daughter.
My daughter, Bronwyn, was born with a degenerative neurological condition, and so I quit my job as a biologist so that I could stay home with her. During my time at home, I learned how to sew because I wanted to make cute and practical things for her. As time went on, Bronwyn needed a wheelchair to get around, and so we needed to purchase a van with a ramp for her chair, but the expense was tremendous!
I started this business originally to earn extra money to be able to afford our van. I calculated how many headbands I would need to sell for two years so that I could afford the retrofit of a regular van. My fundraising efforts were a success, and Bronwyn got her van! Over time, my product line expanded from headbands to wallets and then to bags and scarves. I had so much fun creating new things that actually were functional in my life, and it was also something that Bronwyn and I could do together (she especially liked helping me choose fabrics).
My philosophy is that an item should be practical, and should also leave a positive legacy in the world. My items are designed and made by me, and I pay myself a fair wage to work so that I can continue to enjoy what I do. A portion of the money I make goes to support local causes that I believe make a difference in the world, so that expands the satisfaction that my work brings. It is my hope that the person who purchases my work will feel joy using their item, and also will appreciate the durability and useability of that item.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and grew up with lots of boys in a farming environment. As such I was always running around. I still live in the PNW, and I'm still busy with chores and being outside. I guess not much has changed!
