Announcement   I always put a little piece of "me" into everything I create. I am a professional artist specializing in watercolors, ink drawing and mixed media. Each piece of my handcrafted jewelry is one of a kind. Vintage items are from my personal collections and from local thrift stores & church sales.

I also enjoy working with various papers to make cards, tags, journals etc. I love to crochet & occasionally sell amigurumi creatures. I mostly Crochet for Charity: Cancer Caps for Hollings Cancer Center & Hope Lodge located in Charleston, SC and layette sets for newborns which I donated to my local church.

Commissions and custom orders are available for anything you see in my shop. Gift wrapping is also available. International shipping available upon request.

About

Artist Bio:

I was born in the picturesque lower Hudson Valley Region of New York State and lived there for over 40 years. I enjoyed the diverse culture of New York City & made numerous trips to all the marvelous Art Museums there. I have always been a creative soul however that part of me was put hold while I pursued a career in the Corporate World. After 23 years of working in the fields of accounting and engineering, I decided it was time to move out of NY State and start a new life in 2005. I am now a professional artist living the creative life on the beautiful Carolina Coast. I enjoy living near the beach and am inspired by the ocean. I love to listen to music or watch movies while I am creating in my home studio. I am primarily a self-taught artist however I have studied art under Rusty Hughes, Sterling Edwards & Nancy Wickstrom. I come from a long line of artists and creative people. Going back many generations, my maternal ancestors in Europe & the United States include furniture designers & interior decorators, children’s clothing designers, a sculpture as well as many professional artists some of whom worked in advertising, music industry album art and art instruction. My Mother is also a professional artist & we often get together to create and discuss new ideas. My painting titled “Highway to Hell” was chosen out of over 600 submissions by a juried Art Show Committee as one of only 80 works of art which were shown at the prestigious Burroughs-Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach, SC. My art has been shown yearly at the Franklin Square Gallery in Southport, NC as well as other NC & SC art shows. I am a member of the Waterway Artist Association and the Brunswick Arts Council. My art is enjoyed by collectors, both corporate and private, across the United States as well as in Europe, Japan & Australia.
