5 out of 5 starsI absolutely love this yarn and color. I ordered Spellbound and Knitmare too!! This was my first order but not my last. My lighting sucks so my photos are not great,(to much yellow) but theses are true to her pictures! I need more projects now so I can order more of her yarn. Thank you for a wonderful soft, colorful yarn!

About BeachBumYarn
Falling into the Indie Dyer world and loving it.
Being a stay-at-home mom, I love taking care of my children very much but, I wanted to still be able to use my creativity. I always loved to shop in local stores and found handmade items so charming and I wanted to be a part of that. I have always been an artist in many facets of the word so this was just another link on the chain.
With that said, handcrafted soap became my first love successfully selling many types in person or at craft shows. Doors began to open, I started connecting with more and more people with all different types of crafting interests. Being inspired, I found myself sitting in front of my Mac one day with a crochet hook and some yarn. "Crochet for Beginners' was playing on youtube. I had my eyes glued to the screen. It wasn't easy at first, and I actually didn't realize I HAD to count stitches until my 3rd week of practicing (lol). I became very comfortable with it and started to sell Amigurumi, hats, blankets anything that could possibly be made with yarn. I sold to mostly friends, and family until I was told about Etsy.
I opened my shop in the summer of 2013, primarily offering crocheted stuffed animals and garments, but as time went on, my ideas and interests expanded. I started to become curious about hand-dyeing yarn. I can honestly say, nothing gives me greater joy than to be an indie dyer. My background in the arts, and a second concentration in marketing/advertising, helped me propel BEACH BUM YARN (briefly FIBERWORKS) which is my one-of-a-kind hand-dyed yarn. I have been an indie dyer for almost 6 years now and I have never been happier or more comfortable in a career.
My dyeing style produces bright and vibrant colors. I tend to lean towards the fluorescents & eye-popping combos. I always look at a blank skein of yarn as a canvas waiting to be painted. Being an abstract painter as well, I incorporate my eye for the obscure and unique with all of my colorways.
The Process-Beach Bum Yarn Co. successfully operates on a pre-order basis. I have an in-home dye studio (which is actually a small room that I miraculously fit dyeing equipment into) and yeah it's a tight squeeze, but I make it work. I work orders chronologically that take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks to ship. I pride my business on customer communication as well. I too, am a consumer and know the frustrations that can arise when dealing with unsatisfactory companies. I will always respond to your questions in a timely manner and make your order with love. :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about myself and my shop.

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
Returns and exchange details
If a return is inevitable, once the yarn is received by me and is in the same state as it was shipped out, (if you have caked the yarn I cannot refund or return) you will then be granted an even exchange or return.
I cannot refund if the yarn has been tampered with, has been exposed to smoke, animal hair, bugs, or has been partially worked up. Yarn needs to be in its twist with the original tag.
If under extraordinary circumstances, your order is damaged during transit, I will work with you to resolve the issue. This would result in an even exchange, and I will cover the return/shipping fees.
Please message me if there is a problem other than what has been stated.
Unfortunately, missing or late packages are not something I can control. Once handed off to the USPS, your order is in their hands. I will also do my best to check tracking and update you as much as I can with late shipments. If the item is lost or missing, I will then work with the USPS and start a search for missing mail.
Thank you :)

Additional policies and FAQs
It is recommended to soak yarn in a lanolin-based solution using luke warm or cold water. Dry flat. I do not recommened putting any finished pieces or yarn in a dryer. SW Merino or SUPERWASH Merino has indeed been treated to withstand a washing cycle, please use the most delicate setting. Indie dyed yarn will not look all the same. Yarn is hand-worked. Images of yarn (for ready-to-ship) are what will ship out. Images of yarn for pre-orders will be dyed as close to the image as humanly possible.
