These earring were loved by a 7 year old fashionista. They were the perfect size; not too dangly. I received the earrings within a few days and they were shipped in a pretty silver box with a purple ribbon. Excellent service and quality. Thank you!

About

Photographer turns jewelry designer!

I have been a photographer and artist for 30 years now, but have been making jewelry for many years too. I am self-taught, and learned my craft over the years through trial and error on my own personal pieces. I have a passion for gemstones, but never had the budget to keep up with always buying new pieces. As they say, "necessity is the mother of invention" so I began to make my own jewelry. That's how I got started on this journey.

I began with simple designs and techniques, building upon them and improving as I learned. To this day, I still will try out new techniques and materials on myself first, making sure they are sound and durable. I have always made quality my number one priority, both for my own personal work and now also for the pieces I sell to the public. My jewelry has always been inspired by nature and by themes I have seen in other cultures throughout my extensive travels, but remains firmly rooted in my own aesthetic sensibility.

In 2006 after encouragement from friends and family, I started my own business which I called "The Beaded Tortoise", and opened my Etsy store in late 2009. Today, my jewelry designs can also be found in galleries and other specialty stores in New England where I now live and work.

I hope you see something you like in my little store here, and if there is something special you would like to work on together please get in touch.

Thank you for stopping in to my shop! Here you will find a wide variety of designs in silver, gold and copper with semi-precious stones (and even some precious stones), pearls, Swarovski crystals and other quality components.
I strive to make beautiful and unique jewelry available at reasonable prices to fit just about any budget.
Every piece I make is made to last. Most are one-of-a-kind, but I also have designs which can be repeated. Everything is made in a smoke-free environment, and all pieces are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized prior to shipping.
Customer service is always a priority, and I believe in building good relationships with my clients. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments, and enjoy your visit!

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to convo me! Thanks.

However, should you find any problem please do not hesitate to contact me. I want my customers to be happy and get years of wear and enjoyment from my creations.
Additional policies and FAQs
I can add extenders to most necklaces and bracelets, so if you see an item you like but the size is a little too small just let me know and if possible, I will re-size it for you at no charge. If you need to make an item smaller, I may also be able to re-string it for you at your desired size for a nominal fee – just contact me and we can work something out. I can also make most earrings into clip-ons for those who do not have pierced ears - again, just convo me!

I really enjoy doing custom orders. Do you like something you see in my shop but would like to make some changes? Do you have a favorite color/metal/style or a great idea you would love to have made up? Do you have some favorite beads of your own that you would like to have made into a finished piece? Just send me a message with your idea and we can work out a design together!

I appreciate and am generous with repeat customers and those who buy locally!
