Announcement   SHOPPERS: please make note of a change in Etsy that will affect how quickly I can get your orders out. In attempt to have continuity of purchase methods across all shops, Etsy has forced me to take payments outside of PayPal. I ask that you use PayPal whenever possible as I get that money right away. With credit cards and other forms of payment it takes a week or so for me to get the money. This means that unless you are a friend or regular customer, your order won't be mailed for at least one week after your purchase. I'll be honest, if I had another venue I'd say goodbye to Etsy. This new policy has changed my shop next day mail ability. I am upset as my customer service can't be at the level I strive for. Again, please pay me with PayPal for the best service. Any credit card can be linked to PayPal. Thanks so much in advance for understanding Etsy's demands and the manifestations on my customer service.

I am very grateful that you are checking out my shop! Please consider taking a look at my reinvented blog (www.beadingnutritionist.blogspot.com) to see pictures and stories of my beading adventures as well as items purchased by customers, and information on venues and events at which I sell my work. To keep updated on my jewelry happening, you may follow my blog and subscribe by email. I also have a Facebook fan page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Beading-Nutritionist/111342265617006?fref=ts) for you to "like".

I truly enjoy doing custom work including items that match pieces already on Etsy and new designs to match clothes or other jewelry that you already have. I can post examples on my blog as well.

All of my work is guaranteed no matter what - a piece can get caught on something or bitten or whatever and I repair it at no cost to you.

A note about pricing : The price of sterling silver continues to climb, with some fluctuation. Of course I will not increase prices on current items. So, for those pieces you will get relatively better deals. Unfortunately I am forced to increase prices on many new items. So, that will explain differences in prices for what might look like fairly equivalent items.

The necklace and earrings are gorgeous!!! I love the purple beads mixed in with the brown coin pearls. I hope you have enough beads left to also do a bracelet.

I took this photo to show how two of my personal pieces go so well with the other bracelets I wear. I have lots of bracelets for sale in my shop and will be adding more in the next couple of days. I tagged a strung bracelet in my shop as an example.

These are my new Czech pressed glass beads all the way from Slovakia. They are gorgeous. The darkest color is a deep purple with silver in the middle. I plan to make earrings and maybe a bracelet. The flowers are just beyond words. I will order more.

Here are 15 CRB necklaces ready to sell. These are placed on my Chris Robinson Brotherhood blanket designed by Alan Forbes (artist at chrisrobinsonbrotherhood.com and secretserpents.com). The necklaces radiate from the woman's face.

About

The Beading Nutritionist - Since 2007

Welcome to my shop! I opened it in 2007 after encouragement from my friend Ann (suchprettycolors). At the time I did not own a digital camera. My friend Judy (beadbug) took beautiful pictures of some of my work. I posted them and then my shop was born. I know both Ann and Judy from The Sunday Artisan Market in Ann Arbor, MI where I used to live. I eventually purchased a digital camera and began taking my own photos. This allowed me to list as many pieces as I wanted. With the growth of my business some thought I needed a slogan. After a second customer suggested it, I began using "Jewelry that nourishes the soul". I gave the customer a discount on his purchase that day. You see, I am a PhD Nutritionist.

I am a perfectionist in my work as well as in my customer service. I very much enjoy making custom orders and do this quite often. All orders are shipped at no cost to the customer, in teal partially recycled paper boxes ready for gift giving to yourself or others. I list my items in color order. I think this pleases the eye. Also, it shows people that there may be other items that coordinate even though they are not part of a set. All sets are sold separately and the pieces either match or coordinate and are listed one after the other. Because the order of listings cannot be modified I often take longer to relist items as I need to make replacement or matching pieces and want them listed in the proper order. I almost never make the same piece twice but if a pair of earrings sells and I have a bracelet and necklace that match, I make a different pair of earrings to complete the set choices. I see my shop as a work of art in itself.

I hope you will enjoy seeing my work and even order when you are able. I welcome questions via Etsy convo. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!

I began making jewelry at the age of ten. In high school I sold earrings on consignment and worked in a bead store. In 2004 I established my business and began selling at markets. Then, in 2007 I opened this Etsy shop.

Shop policies

My philosophy is customers come first. I strive to do everything I can to make your visit to my page and purchase experience as pleasant and simple as possible. My policy is next day shipping at no cost to the customer. However, there are times when this is not possible. In addition to Sundays and holidays, occasionally circumstances beyond my control cause a delay of a day or two; for instance, a medical event or illness that prevents me from driving or an unexpected event of some sort. If this is the case, I make every attempt to let my the customer know as soon as possible.

I do my best to lower the environmental impact of shipping out my orders. Unless otherwise requested, all pieces are sent gift-boxed in my bright green partially recycled paper boxes along with a business card. When I can, I reuse padded envelopes. And, unless the customer requests one, I no longer include a printed Etsy receipt. I figure that the customer can view the electronic receipt on Etsy and save it to her/his computer when desired.

Payment
With the economy the way it is, I now accept payment via PayPal only, with exceptions. If you need to pay by check please contact me and we can most likely make arrangements. Thanks for understanding.
Shipping
With PayPal I ship out per the information above. I use delivery confirmation from the USPS. There have been two occasions of delayed delivery of orders. I am now debating adding insurance. I am happy to say that I have never had to cancel a sale nor have had any sort of trouble receiving payment from a customer. Thus, I do not have a policy regarding such potential events.
Refunds and Exchanges
With my customers first policy, I would really like to allow exchanges and refunds. However, my business is not yet large enough to guarantee that I will be able to do so. Thus, I prefer not to but in some instances may be able to do an exchange. If a customer purchases an item from me directly, at a local venue, I will be more open to do an exchange.

No matter the cause of damage, all of my pieces are guaranteed for life. I will repair and pay for shipping. Looking towards the future I can imagine when there might be circumstances where I might not have the beads necessary for a repair. If that happens I will do my best to substitute.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome and encourage custom orders. I am experienced at doing such orders, even to match a print in a piece of clothing, both long distance and in-person. There are times when I will need to ask for a down payment. This generally only happens when I need to place a supply order of maybe over $25. Or, when I need to order supplies that I would never otherwise use. When this is the case, I post the down payment as a reserved order so that the customer can still pay via PayPal.

Although nothing done is without some sort of environmental impact, because of the dangers of new gold mining, and other issues with the gold industry, I only work in sterling or fine silver (or with silver-plated base metals when requested). In addition, my love for sterling silver is one of the reasons I create jewelry.
