Jewllery Maker To Photographer To Jewellery Maker To Photographer
My store started from a hobby that went a bit wild. I started taking over the spare room with beads, gems, findings and completed jewellery projects. I had to do something!
I am self taught although I did attend a college course in working with metals, mainly silver. It was my tutor that mentioned Etsy and Beadsme was born.
I use all types of material - glass, gemstones, silver, plated. I have a problem when it comes to bead and gem stores/shows. I purchase what I like then it may take months before I can think up of a design. As you can see by my photos, I need plenty of storage and my work space is my dining table so very often I have to clear up when visitors arrive but for hub and I it's trays on laps.
Professional photography came a bit later. I wanted to improve my product photographs and learn how to use my camera correctly (get out of Auto mode) so attended a few college course on photography. This became an addiction just as bad as the jewellery making. 12 months later I invested in a Canon 5D Mark iii, started shooting models and getting up at 3am to grab a sunrise at the coast.

Full time Accountant, part time jewellery designer, maker and photographer.
My inspiration for my designs can come from general everyday items, like walking down the street and spotting a lovely coloured flower and then marching down the local shop to find something in that colour. Some days I could actually be at work and something will pop into my head. As long as I am not in a meeting I can do a quick drawing so that I don't forget.
Please spend a little bit of time on my store policies and on the description of the creation you are interested in.
