Announcement   Hi Everyone!
The idea behind all my pieces is simple: earthy, trans-tribal and durable.
I try to make pieces you can wear at the library, to an archeology dig and to that unexpected gallery opening party. Wear them with your old jeans or a silk dress.
My jewelry is not very fragile - neither are you - I want you to be able to throw a necklace on and run to catch the Trans Siberian Express. Wear a bracelet, walk through the desert and discover a lost civilisation. Or read a book.

As my shops name says, I like beads and bones. I try very hard to use sustainable products, to re-use and recycle metals and vintage parts and to buy directly from people who make these beads by hand or import them in a fair way. All animal products are vintage. (coral, leather, antler, shell and bone)
Every item is wrapped in recycled paper.

Take a look around, if you have questions, just scream, I am probably in the back, drinking my coffee : )

The Fatima Hand/Hamsa is my handmade little gadget. If you do not want me to include one in your design, just let me know. Please do not re-sell my Hamsa! It is my signature.

Shipping;
Shipping is done once a week, generally on Thursday.
Due to the higher prices the Austrian Post charges me, I am no longer able to insure your package automaticaly.

Contact me if you have questions concerning shipping or priority shipping!

No additional invoices will be generated( in package) to save on paper..paypal and etsy both have invoices to view and copy for your records.
Some differences in color should be expected due to variations between computer monitors. (I photograph all my jewelry in my garden, when it´s sunny )

Contact me only thru Etsy convo,(not my email address) for Etsy related issues.
I check the convo's daily.

Bracelet and Necklace sizes:
If you want a bracelet (they are 7-8 inch) or necklace a bit shorter, it´s not a problem, just tell me (longer is usually also not a problem)

Greetings from Austria....

You have such a wonderful sense of design! This beautiful necklace arrived safe and sound. I love it! Thank you so much, and more "boneless" creations please! :-)

Beautiful bracelets! This is my second purchase from this shop. I love the rustic beauty of these bracelets and my first foray into coral. Shipping was quick. Communication with the artist was great. I thank you for the extra bracelet!

About

How it all started

At a very early age I discovered my passion for history, art and folklore - and it never went away. I started drawing and making things as a very little girl, collecting stones, sticks, shells and leaves on travels with my parents. As an Art and History student I found out that the other grown-ups use most of their time explaining why they do something and loose their ideas in the process. I just make stuff, and I like making them.

I am 35 now, and still travelling, collecting and growing up. A few years ago I moved from the Netherlands to Austria, from the North Sea to the Alps. I live in a very small village, in a little house next to very big mountains and beautiful forests. In Holland I worked as an Art and History teacher, now my day job is helping adolescents re-intergrate in society - hard but rewarding.

The idea behind all my pieces is very simple: earthy, trans-tribal and durable.

Hey there, welcome to my little part of the Etsy world! I live, work and ship from Austria. If you are interested in any of my products feel free to convo me, I will answer asap.

To make my jewelry I upcycle, recycle and re-invent things. All the polymer beads I make myself.
The Fatima Hand is my little gadget, it is on every necklace or bracelet I make, you can easily remove it(but you don´t have to)

The Hamsa or Fatima Hand is often used as a symbol against the evil eye or a talisman, recently, some people who advocate for peace in the Middle East between Jews and Arabs, have begun wearing the hamsa symbol. In this fashion it stands for the common ground shared by Jews and Arabs. It becomes not a talisman with protective qualities, but instead a gesture of hope for peace in the war-torn regions of the Middle East.

Bracelet and Necklace sizes:

If you want a bracelet (they are 7-8 inch) or necklace a bit shorter, it´s not a problem, just tell me (longer is also not a problem)
I usually resize my jewelry for free, unless you want something really out of the ordinary...

Have you seen something in the Sold part you really like?
Convo me, I will not copy a necklace or bracelet, I can try to make something that has the same "idea" or look, but I think it´s unfair towards the person who bought an ooak necklace or bracelet to make a copy.

I love custom orders, especially "strange" requests! For instance, you would love a necklace with the same vibe as one of my bracelets? No problem, I love to work with you on it!

I ship with the austrian post, they are very reliable, I like to wrap my products extra nice before they go in the padded envelop. If you have any (gift)wrapping wishes, let me know!

All of my jewelry is handmade. If it is flawed, or broken, please convo me so that I can arrange to fix it or exchange it for you.

Please note: I ship to the address that's listed on your Etsy account. Please make sure this is correct at time of purchase.

I ship via first class mail unless you request otherwise. Please let me know if you would your purchase to be send with Priority or insured. Just let me know through Convo, if it makes us both sleep better, it´s worth it!

There is no way to track international mail, however I can insure it for a small fee.
