I am very happy you stopped by. My name is Vanessa and I am the founder and graphic designer behind Bears Graphic Design. I have over 12 years of professional graphic design experience specializing in design for print and web application. I make my customers dreams a reality with a bold use of color, texture, illustration and mixed media design creations.

When you place an order with Bears Graphic Design you work with me, Vanessa. I do not have a customer service team that replies to your messages and I don't delegate your project to another designer. I work with you on your design project from start to finish. This provides you with a unique design suited to you and your business plus less confusion during the design process.

Thanks to my amazing clients the design schedule does fill up quickly each week. You're always welcome to contact me for an estimated turnaround time for your project or with any questions that you might have before ordering. I also have a few rush order slots available each week if your project requires an expedited turnaround.

{ How it all began }

At a young age I started working for the family printing business. I mixed inks, folded brochures, trimmed business cards, stapled booklets, packed orders and eventually started designing print materials (yay!). Fast forward and I am now a indiepreneur running my own graphic design business and serving customers all around the globe.

In the past 12 years I've gained a wealth of knowledge through formal education and valuable on the job experience. I started selling online with Etsy in 2007 and I love what it has done for my business. I get to work with wonderful clients and I've gained many friends that I never would've connected with if not for Etsy.

{ A little about me }

I am a child of Christ. I live in sunshiny Southern Arizona with my web designer husband and two sweet pups (a Jack Russell and a Yorkie). When I'm not designing and stockpiling fonts I enjoy spending time with loved ones, travel, home decor projects, photography, reading, crochet, antiquing, baking and more.

1.) I am a big Sci-Fi fan. Dr. Who, Star Trek, X-Files etc…
2.) I would LOVE to go back to school for Interior Design.
3.) My younger brother and I share the same birth date.
4.) I LOVE tea. Green, black, white, herbal..I love it all!
5.) I used to own a bakery called Bears Baked Goods.
6.) My first job in high school was at Dunkin’ Donuts.
7.) Growing up I wanted to be an Aviation Engineer.
8.) I hope to someday move to the Pacific Northwest. I love rain.
9.) My favorite cartoon growing up was Jem and the Holograms.
10.) I grew up admiring Lisa Frank and I still do. I just LOVE all that color!!

Design Orders:

Design orders are non-refundable* if work has started on your project. When you purchase a design item you are paying not only for the item, but also for the designers many years of experience, time, research, creativity and a spot on the design schedule.

*Please contact me as soon as possible to see if work has started on your design project. If work has not started an order can be cancelled and a refund can be issued minus a 25% cancellation fee.

Please note: any design order cancellation that is not confirmed in writing within 5 days of your design order date will be liable for the full purchase price (a refund will not be given). If you go MIA for more than 30 business days you will be subject to a rescheduling fee of 25%.

Print Orders:

Print orders cannot be cancelled* once they have gone into the production phase. We offer a quick printing turnaround time so there is not much wiggle room for order cancellations.

*Please contact me as soon as possible to see if your order has gone into production. If production has not started an order can be cancelled and a refund can be issued minus a 25% cancellation fee.

**We are not responsible for errors once files are approved for print. Please take a moment to proofread and make sure your design info is correct and your text is large enough to read before sending a final print approval for your files.**

A .PDF print quality file is always emailed to you for a final print approval and address verification before being placed in line to print. This is so we can avoid printing files with errors. Please double check your final file and your shipping address before sending final print approval. PDF files can be viewed at 100% (actual size) zoom for an accurate representation of the text sizes. You can also print out a test page to make sure the design and text sizes are exactly what you want.

**Please note that due to the differences in computer monitor and device color settings (RGB Colors) vs that of printed ink colors (CMYK Colors) we cannot guarantee a 100% color match. We are able to match print colors up to 85%, so there may be a 15% shift in color when your product is printed. We recommend limited usage of blues and reds, simply because they are the hardest ink colors to match.**

We offer full-color printing (CMYK), for this reason we cannot print every color available especially fluorescent colors you see on a computer screen. As with most printers we do not offer color matching; however, we make every effort to print your product as close to the file colors as possible (within 2 shades).

►Please note we cannot guarantee exact trims (cuts) as each printer has a "cutting tolerance". Our cutting tolerance is 1/16" and is one of the smallest in the printing industry. This is a slight shift that may occur during the trimming process (side to side or top to bottom).

**We will not be held responsible for illegal use of images. You must have rights to the files or images submitted to us for use in your design project.**

Any problems with your print order? Please contact us with as much info as possible and a photo showing the issue. We will reply within 2 business days with more info and a solution. In some cases we will need you to send us some of the printed product so we can properly assess the issue.

100% customer satisfaction is my goal. In the rare case that you are not satisfied I will do everything possible to fix it.
Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of purchase. PayPal e-checks take an additional week to clear before your order is accepted.
Shipping
►Design Orders: upon approval your digital files will be emailed to the address listed on your Etsy account. Design orders do not include any physical/printed items. Please make sure the email address listed on your account is up to date.

►Print Orders: please allow 3-7 business days to process your print order before it ships. All U.S printing orders include Free Ground* shipping to the address listed on your Etsy account. Shipping takes approximately 3-6 business days** to arrive depending on your location. Orders shipped outside of the 48 U.S States can take approximately 10-15 business days to arrive. When your order ships you will receive an email notification from Etsy with tracking information.

*Free UPS (or FedEx) Ground Shipping applies to physical addresses within the contiguous 48 U.S states only. We also ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico (at an additional charge). Please contact me with your shipping address for a quote. Sorry we cannot ship to P.O Boxes, internationally or using other shipping companies.

While the majority of packages do arrive on time, we do not have control over packages once they have shipped. For this reason we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates.

PLEASE NOTE: We only charge our customers for shipping fees. All international customers (outside the 48 contiguous U.S states) are responsible for paying any customs fees (i.e.: taxes, duties, etc.) to UPS upon receiving the order.

What is the best way to get in touch with you?

We are an online business and communicate via e-mail or through Etsy conversation. This allows me to maintain an accurate record of what was discussed and gives me documentation to refer back to while I am working on your lovely design. This also helps to keep my design costs lower as I don't have to hire an answering service.

What is a revision?

A design revision is a change to an initially presented design sample. It is a change of less than 1/4 of the design and is meant to be a slight modification (example: a font change or color change). A new design layout or design concept is not considered a revision. If a new design concept is required it is an additional charge. Custom design orders include a few complimentary revisions (see product listing for this info). Premade design orders are personalized with your information, but the design layout is sold as is. If revisions or changes are needed please contact me for a quote.

What is your design process?

Premade Orders: When a premade design order is received I personalize the files using the exact info you provided to me during checkout and then email the completed files to you.

Custom Orders: When a custom design order is received I send you a design questionnaire through an Etsy message (or email) to to get a general idea of what you're looking for (images, colors, fonts etc..). When I have your completed questionnaire and all of your information (content, photos, logo etc.) your project is added to the schedule and a sample is created and sent to you for review within the time frame mentioned in our communication. When your design is approved your files are emailed to you.

What is your turnaround time on design orders?
