Bear Lake...where families gather.
I can't believe I get to live here!
I think it all the time.
If you've visited Bear Lake on the Utah Idaho border, you understand the magic of this place, and the beauty of the mountains and the water. It is a little piece of heaven. The water is an unusual turquoise blue that begs visitors to stop and marvel at it's beauty. That is what I try to capture in my paintings.
It is my pleasure to share with you my most favorite images of this stunning area. It's been about 30 years since I've oil painted but moving here has renewed my artistic vision, and has done wonders for my soul.
I create oil paintings on canvas and panels. I use high quality, handmade oil paints that will last a lifetime. You can be certain the best materials were used in creating your art.

What else keeps me busy? I am also a family photographer that specializes in large family groups that vacation in the Bear Lake area. Clients who book with me get a more personalized, custom and unique experience for their family pictures. Printed on Velvet fine art Professional Paper. Designed for high quality digital reproduction. Paper has a matte appearance with excellent image sharpness and optimal color density and gradation. These are not your basic photo prints. Colors and texture is stunning!
Please note that crop ratio changes what is cropped with each sized print.

What are "Prints on Fine Art Paper"?
To reproduce my oil paintings as fine art prints I use Somerset Velvet paper.
This radiant white paper offers vivid color reproduction and deep, rich blacks for amazing contrast. With a texture that gently softens the overall effect, it adds an extra hint of warmth to reproductions of oils and pastels. Somerset Velvet is a 100% cotton rag paper, making it perfect for conservation quality projects.
Keep in mind, I don't recommend ordering a print of a painting larger than it's original size.
