My Etsy friend and fellow shop owner, April of forsheedesigns, shared a photo of where she hung her Sewing Machine embroidered canvas in her sewing room. A one-of-a-kind gift for the avid seamstress in your life!

Why Be Craft Happy?

When you’re called to do something in this life journey, it always surfaces somehow. Even if that calling is not what you pictured you would be doing in life or it seems frivolous or just plain uncharacteristic. Sometimes I feel that my hands have a life of their own…just sewing, making, creating…and I’m still trying to convince my brain to get on the same page and fully embrace this creative life. I certainly did not go to college for this life. My intent was to be in the business world until I retired and maybe settle into this creative life to remain active. But even through moments of burnout due to managing a full-time job, gearing up for Spring and Fall craft shows, fulfilling orders, putting dinner on the table, staying on top of laundry, helping with homework and going to parent-teacher conferences, something always guides me back to this life even if I'm finding out that the term "starving artist" is not a myth. It’s much like when you hit the rumble strips when you drift out of your lane while driving. It’s the people I meet and the “I love your stuff, it’s so cute!” and “I love everything in your booth!” comments, the positive, heartfelt reviews and I suppose some other divine energy that continually guide me back to stay in this lane.

So that’s why I’m craft happy. Going with the flow. Riding the wave. Catching the trade winds in my sails. I hope you can see this passion to create come through in the products I make. It certainly helps when you’re working with materials so beautiful they’re inspiring. And keeping front of mind one of my favorite inspiring quotes:

“Go into the arts. I’m not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”
- Kurt Vonnegut

Indeed! And if the inspiration strikes you, I encourage you to be craft happy in your own way too!

Welcome to my humble little shop of handcrafted accessories! I've been busy being Craft Happy so check back every so often to see what else is new.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
  • Buy with Apple Pay
  • Pay with Sofort
  • Pay with iDeal
  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
PayPal, Etsy gift cards and all major credit cards are accepted forms of payment. If paying by e-check using PayPal, it typically takes 5 business days for payment to clear. I can then ship your order once payment clears.
Please check each item's processing timetable to ensure you receive your items within the amount of time you need. If you need an order by a specific date, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE by sending me a message so I can make sure to align everything (if physically possible) and get it to you in time.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Please be aware that any customs fees, duties, VAT fees and import taxes imposed by your country will be your responsibility. These fees are not included in the price of the items you are purchasing.

I typically ship via USPS First Class Mail, but if your combined product purchase amounts to more than 13 oz. your shipment will automatically be upgraded to Priority Mail shipping. Shipping confirmations with tracking info are e-mailed automatically once I print off the shipping label for your order.

Occasionally I get requests to meet locally to drop off orders. I imagine you have a busy schedule, as do I. Being as that's the case, I find it more convenient to ship products to you even if we live within driving distance of each other. It saves both of us the frustration of finding a mutual place and a mutually agreed upon time to do the exchange. The $3-$5 or so in shipping costs are totally worth it. That, and I much prefer to spend the afternoon sewing up a storm and keeping the shop stocked for you then driving across town to do a drop off.

If you'd like to see my items in person, I do participate in several craft shows around town throughout the year, and those would be the perfect opportunities to see everything displayed. You can find my upcoming shows on my shop home page, on the left hand side menu.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns/refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are at all unhappy with your purchase please let me know within 15 days of receipt of your shipment. I aim to please and will do whatever I can (within reason, I mean let's play fair) to make sure you love your new handcrafted goodies. Please note that original postage costs are only refunded if an error was made on my end.
Additional policies and FAQs
From time to time I may use recycled packaging materials to ship your items to keep postage costs low for you. But be rest assured that all items will be packaged securely to weather the journey from my door to yours.
