Did You Know???

Long ago, women used to put beeswax on their faces as a cosmetic. Often times, they would sit too close to the fire and the wax would melt. From this came the expression, “Mind your Beeswax.”

Bees wax is a natural product which has been around for centuries.
Pure bees wax is widely reported to bee non-toxic, non-allergenic and non-carcinogenic.
It is the only fuel known to emit a fully balanced negative ion. The negative ions are the “good” ions. The positive ions (so called because they are positively charged) are the things that float in our air such as dust, pollen, pet dander, toxins, viruses, and odors to list only a few. When you burn a bees wax candle it emits negative ions which actually clean your air. Take note how much better you feel when you are around the ocean, a waterfalls or after a rain and thunder storm. The atmosphere is full of negative ions!

Studies show that if you burn a bees wax candle in your home 3 or 4 times a week your
home will be consistently cleaner and healthier not to mention….sweeter smelling! Try burning a bees wax candle in your bedroom before you go to sleep at night, many people claim that they sleep better after doing this. The white dusty looking powder that forms on beeswax is called “bloom.” It is a sign of the purity of the bees wax and can be removed by gently heating the candle with a hair dryer or by gently rubbing the candle with your finger.

VERY IMPORTANT:
Always burn your soy wax votive in the proper container to achieve the best results.

Soy wax is a very soft wax and we strongly suggest burning votives in a close fitting
container of glass similar in size to the votive.

Following the proper burning procedures, you should get 14+ hours burn time from your votive. However, failure to do so will result in incorrect and incomplete burning and greatly decreased burning times.

Soy wax is produced from the hydrogenation of soybean oil that is ultimately derived from the soybean.
The soybean is one of the most versatile products used today. It is a source of high protein and research efforts over the years have resulted in many consumer goods also being produced from the soy bean. Other uses for the soy bean are in body and skin
care products, hair products, crayons, human and pet food, and my favourite, candle wax!
Soy wax has a greater fragrance holding capacity which allows the scent to radiate further when burning. Soy wax candles are also widely reported to have a slower burn rate so they usually burn much longer than a candle made from paraffin.
Soy wax also burns clean and relatively smoke free so it offers a healthier alternative for the dedicated candle burner. It is biodegradable, promotes farming and is a renewable resource. The clean-up with soy wax is quite easy. Simply scrape the wick tab and any remaining residue into the garbage can and the container usually cleans
up with very hot soapy water.

Custom and wedding orders welcomed!
