Great size, fabulous handiwork and looks great - so much more fun than the shoeboxes I was using!

Gave this one to friends and filled it with the gift pack of coffee beans. Fabulous gift to share.

I'm discovering you can't have too many of these! Great to fill with some goodies as a gift basket too.

About

Been and Done: designed, upcycled and handmade by Erica Keen.

Been and Done is an expression of my passions:

I love to design, make and create, and have pursued this through my study of Textile Design and Development at RMIT in Melbourne.

I am passionate about justice, about the transformation of lives, about the role of cottage industries in community development, and the intersection of creativity with sustainability and empowerment. and have pursued this through my degree of International Development at La Trobe University in Melbourne.

I am committed to fair trade, sustainability and working with reclaimed materials. I am passionate about ethical production of products, upcycling and reworking existing resources and direct trade which invests in local communities. I am passionate about East Africa, and have spent a lot of time in this region. I am passionate about putting my faith, talents and dreams into action.

My handmade items rework discarded coffee sacks, renew vintage fabrics and upcycle reclaimed materials. I use organic, natural, fairly traded and local resources as much as possible.

I love what I do, and each item I make is carefully created by hand. A unique handmade item with a history; a story woven into its fibres and restored from waste to have a long and useful future.

Thanks for sharing in my journey,
Erica
