Welcome to Bo Press Miniature Books! I'm Patricia Sweet, and I design, illustrate, print, and bind tiny books. The smallest book I've ever made is 1/2" tall, and the largest is 3". I use traditional bookbinding methods for hand-made books: sewn signatures, rounded spines, headbands, and hard covers. I cover the books with paper and leathers from all over the world.
I design and illustrate my books with Photoshop, and print them on a photo-quality inkjet printer.
The subjects of these books include everything from old songs and poems, mad science, imaginary maps, amateur mathematics, pop-up books, and books about books.
I also make book-related things: book stands, medieval chained bookcases and desks, astronomical devices like globes, orreries and tellurions, and the odd curiosity, like a miniature vampire hunter's kit or fortune-teller's booth.
I'm a member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans and the Miniature Book Society.
