About

Illustrated wildlife park

This is my online illustrated wildlife park, where you’ll find a collection of art prints, jewellery and homeware, all featuring some of our most amazing animals who sadly are either listed as endangered or who have interesting conservation stories to tell.

I have always been obsessed with drawing, since I was tiny. My obsession with animals is slightly more recent - quite a few years ago I read Gerald Durrell’s book ‘My Family and Other Animals’. I read it at a time when I was feeling a bit lost with life, and his sheer wonder and amazement with all the wildlife around him in Corfu (mainly all the little beetles and bugs and birds) opened my eyes to appreciate all the wildlife around me. It started a real interest in animals of all kinds, and then a passion for conservation. It's hard to know how to help save animals at the risk of extinction, but I thought I'd do the only thing I can - sell prints and other things that feature some of these animals, and hopefully make more people aware of them.

As well as that, I also decided to help even more directly with conservation, and so by making a purchase from my store, you will be helping endangered animals in the wild:

* 10% of profit made from sales of my Honeycomb jewellery range will go to the Sussex Wildlife Trust, who do great conservation work and are also brilliant at involving volunteers, groups of people and young kids in their work.

*10% of profit made from sales of everything else will go to the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust – as you can read above, Gerald Durrell has been a huge inspiration to me and the work the Trust do now is outstanding, they are literally bringing animals back from the brink of extinction.

(Please note that I am not endorsed by either charity, I will be making a donation at the end of the year in the same way any member of the public can).

I am a self taught illustrator and by day I’m a freelance childrens’ book designer. I live on the south coast of England in a lovely little place called Chichester with my boyfriend and cat. I grow my own vegetables and am lucky enough to be surrounded by the coast and South Downs, perfect for wildlife adventures.
