After the antlers have stood strong for one season, they are cast off. Only to grow more striking the next year. Those left behind are what we use for our work. All parts of them are reclaimed and reinterpreted in different forms, to be enjoyed by the new bearer of them.
The impressive story the material holds, gives each piece meaning and the finished work endures as a token of the wild, a link to nature.


Responsibly gathering shed antlers has no negative impact on our wild lands and does not harm wild life. We source them from individuals who enjoy foraging for them year after year. Many we have found ourselves or have come from friends, such as one whose family gathers them on their land on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains.


Each piece is an original that is carefully made from scratch and by hand. Working with this incredible natural material has been a continual challenge and a satisfying creative outlet.

Everything around this endeavor is made with pride and care, by us, by hand, right here in the U.S.A.

Name

The name for this venture comes from the etymology of the word antler. A variation of the Latin word anteocularis "before the eye" may have given rise to the French word andouiller, Old English auntelere, and eventually led to the english word we now know.
All our work is about the idea of the materials origin in the wild and its transformation into the form now before you, to wear and hopefully enjoy the sight of.
